Rebecca Quentin woke up early.
As soon as she woke up, she went to the hospital, just in time to meet the doctor coming to examine Aunt Clare.
Initially, she thought it was just a routine check-up, but then the doctor said the examination was for Aunt Clare's upcoming blood dialysis.
Rebecca Quentin had some understanding of blood dialysis, and thinking about the unusual pain Aunt Clare was going to endure, her heart was filled with guilt.
If she had taken more care of Aunt Clare regularly, she might have noticed her illness and it wouldn't have become so severe.
Rebecca Quentin could stay in the ward to watch Aunt Clare undergo blood dialysis, but Aunt Clare insisted that she leave. In the end, Rebecca Quentin could only watch Aunt Clare through the glass window of the ward.
