"How could that be? Brother-in-law loves my sister so much." Rebecca Quentin said in confusion.
"Oversky, he… the way he feels about Christine isn't what you all think..."
"What do you mean, Mom? Can you say it clearly?" Rebecca Quentin urged anxiously.
"How am I supposed to explain this?"
"Mom, you said brother-in-law isn't like what we think he is… what exactly are you trying to say?" Rebecca Quentin was almost dying of anxiety.
Mrs. Geoffrey let out a heavy sigh and finally blurted it out in one breath, "What I'm trying to say is that Christine isn't suited to be pregnant right now, because Oversky doesn't want children."
Rebecca Quentin's face scrunched up, "Mom, the more you say, the more confused I get..."
Mrs. Geoffrey held Rebecca Quentin's hand and said gently, "Let me just spell it out for you… Becca, do you still remember the last time Oversky and Christine had a fight?"
Rebecca Quentin nodded. "I heard from Howard Geoffrey later that it was because of the photos."
