Alice shook her head, "No, I'll head back to the apartment later."
The servant looked disappointed, "Miss, why are you moving out? Without you, the house feels so empty."
"I hope to get some experience outside."
"But I heard from Aunt PA that you've been through a lot..."
"It's fine."
As the servant and Alice were talking, two beams of car headlights shone into the villa.
Knowing he was back, Alice put down her coffee and stood up.
Chester walked in from outside, surprised to see Alice already waiting at home.
The servants noticed the way Alice's eyes were full of resentment as she looked at Chester and tactfully retreated.
"What's the matter? Why are you looking at me like that?" Chester headed towards the second floor, not intending to stop and speak with her.
Alice stepped forward, blocking Chester's path.
Chester's dark eyes were inscrutable, his indifference overshadowed by a touch of depth.
