While she was sipping her porridge, she inadvertently saw him outside the window.
He hesitated for a moment and then walked into the ward.
The nurse saw him and stood up respectfully, addressing him.
He sat at the bedside and gently asked her, "Is the porridge to your taste?"
Alice nodded.
The nurse smiled, "Mr. Robinson, rest assured, Miss Robinson has had quite a bit of porridge and is feeling much better... The doctor said Miss Robinson can be discharged after being observed at the hospital for an afternoon if there are no signs of the fever returning."
Chester softly said, "Hmm."
The nurse, being discreet, found an excuse to leave the ward.
Alice looked at Chester, wondering why his dark eyes seemed so dim and deep.
Chester asked with concern, "Do you feel any weakness anywhere now?"
Alice shook her head, "I ate a bit, it's much better."
