Alice Robinson turned away and left.
Chester Robinson didn't stop her, but coldly stated, "I won't give up."
Alice ran out of the bar...
Night fell, and the island returned to its usual quiet.
The sea turned dark, with only the lighthouse in the distance lighting the way ahead.
Alice sat on the bed hugging her knees, silently gazing at the serene nightscape that returned to the island.
A knock on the door came.
Alice remained unmoved.
This was his third time knocking; she didn't want to see him, nor did she want to speak to him. In short... she could only distance herself from him.
She didn't hear the knocking again; he should have left by now.
The night deepened, and the surroundings grew darker.
The fear of the dark made Alice wrap herself tightly with the blanket.
Suddenly...
The door was opened by someone.
Alice was startled and tightened her grip on the blanket.
"Alice, Alice..."
Chester's voice reached her ears.
