Chester Robinson collapsed onto Alice Robinson, losing consciousness.
Alice let Chester wrap his arms around her neck as she supported him, slowly leading him towards the room.
Chester was reeking of alcohol, mumbling, "Alice… don't leave me… I can't be without you..."
Listening to Chester's words, Alice felt a pang of sadness in her heart.
She finally managed to get Chester into her room.
Chester was indeed drunk, as he fell onto the bed at once.
Not having supported him properly, she lost her balance and fell onto the bed as well.
"Ah..."
She let out a scream and quickly got up.
In the dim room illuminated only by candlelight, she saw him frowning, looking very uncomfortable.
"Alice… Alice..."
Alice sat on the edge of the bed, watching his unconscious calling, feeling heartache in her eyes, "I'm here."
Chester suddenly reached out and grasped her hand.
"Don't leave me..."
Alice sat on the edge of the bed in a daze, wondering why her heart felt so heavy.
