'I have to keep expanding our horizons even further. If we ever have to flee the capital, I want to have more options...

And since the Sacred Kingdom is apparently not an option, I'm going to visit several places in the capital of Drial Cenit...

The first thing was to have quick access to its capital, as that will be helpful in a future that seems less and less distant...

With that sorted, I'm now going to try to get to know the place a little better.'

I'm fairly confident that my display at the Solus Temple will keep that troublesome sect at bay for a while, but if I don't find a more permanent solution, I'm sure they'll come back to bother us eventually.

So, as Cael appears to be unavailable, it's best to take advantage of the peace I've achieved to gain more options.

And one of those options is to secure several safe places outside the kingdom.

I don't know what stance the kingdom will take after my public demonstration of intent, so it's best to prepare several escape routes.

The first thing I did the day after revealing myself to everyone as the Golden Archer was to buy a house in the capital of the Ephire kingdom, which now gives me another safe point to which I can travel with space travel, regardless of the protections that large cities have against people of the Traveller class.

The kingdom of Ephire is our best option for living after the Castemira kingdom, as it is a huge and neutral place.

I decided to buy a house in the capital, as it is the most important point in the kingdom and a place from which we will surely have easy access to other regions.

Thanks to my level of Space Travel, I no longer need so many intermediate trips to reach distant places with my illusory doors, so the vastness of the territory of the Ephire kingdom is not a problem.

I spent several days touring the capital and travelling around the kingdom to gather as much information about it as possible.

While I was busy with these things, my girls stayed in the capital, living their normal lives.

Alessia wanted to accompany me, but she also wanted to be by Delia's side.

And the fox girl has no intention of leaving her place at the clinic.

So my first girlfriend reluctantly stayed in the capital.

I also left Arya with them, as the elf's magical and perceptive abilities offer an advantage that neither Alessia nor the three annoying beauties can offer in protecting the clinic.

In any case, I'm not too worried about their safety, despite being so many kilometers away from them, as we can now communicate regardless of distance thanks to my bracelet.

Therefore, in case of an emergency, I know I can be back by their side in a few minutes.

So I am in no hurry to return and prefer to devote myself to increasing our options, in terms of places to live, as much as possible.

The second place I travelled to in order to try to find a new safe point was the Sacred Kingdom, but things got a little complicated there, because no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get anyone to sell me a house in the capital.

Every single person I spoke to wanted me to prove that I was a citizen of the kingdom, giving them details of where I came from and who my relatives were.

These were things they wanted to verify for themselves before agreeing to any business deal with me.

At first, I thought it might be a quirk of the first person I spoke to, but when I got to the third person and they all told me the same thing, I had to resign myself to not having a safe point in the Sacred Kingdom.

In any case, it's not a place I would choose to live, unless I had no other option.

Delia would probably be delighted with the idea, but I think it would be like walking into the lion's den.

Although it's also possible that, being so close to the heart of the Solus Temple, their surveillance of people offering healing services is much less strict than in other kingdoms.

Be that as it may, I won't have the chance to find out.

So I decided to travel to the last option available and the one I liked the least of the four: the kingdom of Drial Cenit.

Considering what I know about Alessia's past, this kingdom should be the last place we should come to, but sooner or later we will have to face the problem if we want to live in peace.

I refuse to live in constant fear that something will happen to my first girlfriend because of the madness of a king with strange tendencies.

And since most parts of the Smart Clone plan are already underway and developing, it's best to have quick access to enemy territory.

Earlier, I got a little nervous when I crossed the city gates to enter Tianri City, the capital of the Drial Cenit kingdom, as I was a little worried that someone might recognize me, since many people saw what I looked like in the war zone.

It's true that I was concealing my identity, but I don't know how much I can trust myself with that sort of thing.

However, after crossing the walls, I immediately saw that my concerns were unfounded.

No one pays me the slightest bit of attention as I walk through the commercial area of the capital.

In any case, I still think it would be stupid not to be cautious in this place, so I remain vigilant with every step I take.

'Out of curiosity, you little brat, what kind of stupid games are you and that person who always follows you from the shadows playing? At first I thought he was an enemy, but he's had multiple opportunities to attack you while you were asleep and yet he hasn't... So that person must be your ally... But if that's the case, why don't you ever talk to him?'

Emir: !!!

'What do you m-... Shit.'

Right in front of me, a few meters away, a curious scene interrupts my thoughts.

A middle-aged man and woman suddenly approach a small hooded figure who was looking at the products in a shop window and, without warning, cover her mouth and begin to drag her into a dark alley.

The small figure begins to struggle against her captors, causing the hood covering her head to fall off, revealing the face of a young girl who looks in horror at the two people beside her.

I look around for a knight who could take care of the problem, but the only ones I see are too far away, apparently mediating an argument between several people.

In fact, the kidnapping is happening so quickly that, had I not been so focused on whether anyone recognized me, I probably wouldn't have noticed what was going on.

I suppose that's why I'm the only one who seems to have realized the situation.

'Don't be stupid, brat. I can sense the idea forming in your mind, and it's a stupid one.'

'It may be... Haa… I'm not really afraid of being recognized, as I don't think it would be very difficult for me to escape from the knights… But it's also true that I prefer not to attract attention.'

'Exactly.'

'But… Agh... F*ck it! I'm not going to stand idly by and watch these people kidnap a little girl.'

'You're an idiot.'

'Maybe, but I'm also a good person... Or I try to be.'

'Hahaha... that's a good one… but if it makes you happy to think that... You're even more foolish than I thought.'

'Shut up or I'll send you into my inventory.'

'Tcht... good person. Sure. Threatening others is just the kind of behavior expected of good people,' says Zariche sarcastically.

'I warned you...' I think to myself and put the cursed sword in my inventory, after which I rush off to chase the two people who are kidnapping the little girl.

'... Haa... goodbye to going unnoticed.'
