Hearing this, the young man panicked and began to back away, waving his hands frantically.
"No, no, no! You're too kind, but no thank you! You might not believe this, but even though I sat on the same Stone with him for three hours, we really don't know each other!"
"Really! I'm just passing by!"
After getting rid of the two scammers, Xia Liang followed the navigation toward the passenger's pickup point. While driving, he sent a message to the passenger, explaining that he'd run into a small problem but would arrive soon. He asked them not to worry.
It was strange, though. Despite being so delayed, the passenger didn't seem to be in any hurry. Normally, a passenger would be cursing him out by now. This one, however, was exceptionally calm, even telling Xia Liang to slow down and prioritize safety.
