Unfortunately, they had searched high and low in Xiangjiang for Xia Liang, but to no avail. After all, they were just two foreigners new to the area. They had no connections or resources, so even though they knew Xia Liang's name, they had no idea where to find him.
"Forget it. Perhaps it's fate," Professor Rico sighed deeply. "It seems I'll probably go my whole life without encountering anything that makes me question my view of the world." He didn't press Luodan any further, but he couldn't hide the profound disappointment in his eyes.
He knew his student wouldn't deceive him; what Luodan had experienced was truly something that science couldn't explain. But as a professor from a top institution in Eagle Country, Rico held fast to one principle: he would only believe what he saw with his own eyes.
