"Those look like they're almost done," Giselle said as she looked at the kebabs, but Lex shook his head.
"Excuse me, do you think I'm just going to hand you a stick of meat?" asked Lex as he stabbed his chest with his thumb. "Well, honestly, it doesn't sound too bad, but don't underestimate my skill in the kitchen. They don't hand these aprons out to just anybody."
While the meat cooked, Lex walked up to a nearby picnic table and placed a checkered tablecloth on top of it, before placing a blue vacuum sealed hot pot that looked like the kind of thing you would see in an asian family home. He lifted the lid to reveal the treasure within: fresh, supple, yellow colored rice which had clearly been cooked in some kind of stock, covered in diced spring onions.
The intensity of the steam that rose when the lid was opened could have scalded a regular person, but that was no problem for them.
He also brought out a few plates, a picnic basket and a separate bread basket.
