As if snapping free from a reverie, Giselle's thoughts finally recovered from what she had seen… from what she had experienced, and she realized that her situation had changed.
At some point, Giselle didn't know exactly when, she stopped standing side by side with Lex, and instead stood facing him. What's more, they were not holding one hand anymore, but holding both hands.
She began to panic as her mind coped with what was happening. Everything was going too fast. Her thoughts couldn't keep up.
"I…" Lex said, but didn't know how to continue. It hadn't originally been his intention to end up in such a situation. Another reason he never pursued a relationship was because his life was too dangerous.
Also, it had just been so occupied with his life that he hardly ever even thought about it. Of course, lately he had been thinking about starting to date again, and since he was already in this situation… it wasn't like he was averse to exploring the possibility.
