For a few years after the people from Earth immigrated over, there had been a dip in anime development. However once they were settled, and they felt the need to make money once more, several studios were recreated and they began to develop anime once again, only this time to export it out to the universe.
Whether it was being aired in the Origin realm or anywhere else didn't matter. The viewing and streaming rights were being sold inside the Guild room, which protected their income and also allowed the anime market to grow.
That then slowly turned into demand for movies, games and so on. Naturally, Z had kept up to date with them, as well as various shows from across the universe. At this point, he was a proper cinephile, but of course his preference still remained for anime.
