With an entire treasury at her disposal, it was natural for Yasenia to take her time when choosing a treasure. She walked around, keeping in mind anything that caught her attention. "Keep an eye on things that might be beneficial."
Her treasures, which had been silent all the while, started suggesting a few things. Dramel commented. "How about taking the seeds of a few powerful Supreme Ranked plants? I can see a few over there."
Yasenia looked over and shook her head. "I have enough for now. I need something that's more pressing. Or something that will have a better impact. I still have the recipe for the five Star Pills…" Yasenia paused and squinted her eyes. "I can ask Lan Shuyao to concoct them for me in exchange for one of the rewards. To think that I almost forgot that I was in an Alchemy Family."
Soluna giggled. "Sometimes, it is difficult to see what's right in front of us. Moreover, you had it quite hard during the last two weeks. With Lan Shuyao's attitude, it is easy to forget that she is, in fact, a grand alchemy expert about to become a Seventh Realm cultivator."
Yasenia snorted with a laugh. "Don't belittle her too much. I've seen you be needier than her with just a few weeks of not paying attention."
Soluna harrumphed. Still, she was looking around with a curious look. "Oh. There are a few combat techniques over there. I can see that a few of them are movement techniques. How about giving them a look?"
Yasenia only glanced over once and shook her head. "I already have two Movement Techniques that cooperate really well. I don't think I need any more. If anything, a defensive skill might be something interesting. However, it's not imperative. Given enough time, I can formulate one on my own."
She further added. "Not to mention, I doubt I'll find something suitable with my unique cultivation path."
The treasures turned silent, agreeing with Yasenia's words. The dragoness took a left, entering another large room with a myriad of treasures displayed on the walls. The gorgeous lights and powerful auras coming from them were truly a sight to behold.
She couldn't help but sigh. "Seeing this, no one would believe that they are a family in decline."
"Yasenia, look at the further right end of the room."
"Hm?" Yasenia looked over and tilted her head. "Have you sensed something, Sui Xing?"
The man's pleasant voice reached her again. "I think that I've seen a cauldron over there with a peculiar aura. It should be a transmutation cauldron."
"Oh?" Yasenia's eyes sparked with interest. The one she had was a Mid-Level Transcendence Ranked treasure. So, if she could replace it with a better one, Yasenia would be quite happy.
With a single step, she crossed the large room and appeared in front of the ancient cauldron. The surface was a brown color, with imagery of shifting mountains and overflowing rivers. "Interesting depictions of natural disasters. Usually, crafters will focus on beauty and grandeur, not destruction."
Yasenia's comment made the others notice the oddity. Sui Xing spoke with doubt. "I don't think that this is depicting natural disasters."
"Really?"
Yasenia tilted her head, and Sui Xing nodded. "Yes. This is something I've seen in the past. Transmutation is the art of change, so it sometimes needs many resources. There were some that took star systems as refinement materials, or shifted continents for it. I think the depictions on this cauldron show the effects that the creator intended this cauldron to have."
"...Oh." Yasenia couldn't help but be taken aback by those words. "Are cultivators really that… brutal?"
Sui Xing chuckled. "Who bothers themselves while walking to make sure that they are not stepping on ants? You should know that, in the future, you will most likely be the same. Your battles will span distances that currently seem boundless, your abilities shifting Heaven and Earth and moving stars and worlds with a flip of your hand."
Yasenia nodded and accepted it. Their world was not one where holding back during battle would be rewarded.
"Alright, then we'll take this one. What rank is it?"
Sui Xing glanced over curiously and hummed. "It should be a Seven Star Supreme Ranked item."
A faint disappointment flashed in Yasenia's eyes. "It would've been nice if it were an Ancient Ranked treasure."
Sui Xing wanted to smack her. "You little girl… Your greed is going to be your downfall one day!"
Yasenia laughed and extended her hand. There was a Spatial Ring that could be activated here on her thumb finger. Before departing, Lan Shuyao had given it to her so that she could store the treasures that she wanted.
"Done with the first… There are only 19 left. Heh."
Sui Xing shook his head when he saw Yasenia's happy smirk. Looking around the room, Yasenia asked aloud. "Any other interesting treasures here?"
Draheart added softly. "Cooking tools."
Yasenia's eyes lit up. "That's not a bad idea. Where are the cooking tools, Draheart?"
Her sense of smell was honestly overstimulated. So, she was unable to guide herself accurately. Being here was like having a hundred plates of food emitting fragrances at once in a closed room.
"Right, middle."
Her short directions were easy for Yasenia to follow, and she moved over quickly. There, she saw a kitchen knife with a blade around 30 centimeters long. "Oho~, not bad at all. One could confuse this with a dagger. Yet, it is a cooking tool."
Draheart hummed softly. "Five Star Supreme Ranked. Better than yours."
Yasenia teased slightly. "Mine? You become jealous when I handle my kitchen knife, and now you are suggesting this one? Do you like it, little Draheart?"
Draheart answered with her usual emotionless tone. "Low-quality weapons don't have the right to feel your touch. This one is barely acceptable to be used as a kitchen knife."
Yasenia blinked and then laughed. "Alright. It is a shame that you won't help me cook, though. I didn't dislike using you as a kitchen knife from time to time. Even when your surface is not really made for it."
Draheart commented softly. "I can still help if that one is not useful."
While she loved being used by Yasenia, her pride as a powerful weapon made her feel slightly awkward when Yasenia used her for cooking.
So, Yasenia picked up the kitchen knife and looked around for other cooking utensils. "Hm… I can get a cooking cauldron, a wok, chopsticks, the knife, and a mortar."
So, she swept the area and quickly found the best for these. All of them were Five Star Supreme Ranked treasures, seemingly of the same set of items. Sui Xing confirmed it. "These five have the same origin. They are probably part of a set."
"Do you think there are more?" Yasenia asked, observing the five items with a glint in her eyes.
Dramel commented. "We have no rush, right? How about searching around? You can ask Lan Shuyao as well."
"Right. I can ask her something as basic as this." She stepped out, finding that Lan Shuyao and Tatyana had set up a tea table and were calmly drinking together.
Lan Shuyao was surprised. "You've finished? This is too quick, Little Yasenia."
Yasenia shook her head and explained why she came out. Lan Shuyao listened to her and became thoughtful. "Hm… Let me see."
After scanning the cauldron, wok, chopsticks, knife, and mortar, she nodded and commented. "There is another one. It is a ladle, if I don't remember it incorrectly."
"Alright, thank you." Yasenia smiled and left, searching for the ladle.
It took her three hours of looking around before she found it. Yasenia stood in front of the corner of one of the rooms and sighed. "Why is it on the ground? No wonder I couldn't find it."
Shaking her head, she picked up the ladle and asked once more. "Well, we got seven Supreme Ranked treasures. Did any of you see anything particularly helpful for yourselves when looking around?"
Soluna was not shy and was quick to speak. "Yeah! I saw a strange crystal that caught my attention!"
Dramel also spoke up. "I could sense an instrument that I can devour to become stronger."
Draheart lightly spoke. "There was one dragon stone I wanted to absorb."
Sui Xing was the only one who shook his head. "Nothing interesting on my part."
"Hm…" Yasenia blinked and nodded. "Well, that makes ten either way. Let's get those things…" Yasenia paused for a second before asking Dramel curiously. "You can devour other musical items? Why have I never heard about it?"
Dramel chuckled. "It's not like I can devour any musical item. It must be an item made from one of three mythical creatures: Azure Dragon, White Tiger, or Vermillion Bird."
"Aha. So that instrument had one of those… themes?"
Dramel agreed, and Yasenia searched for it. It didn't take long to find it. She stopped in front of a beautiful red flute, emitting plumes of red fire energy that ethereally vanished in images of celestial red birds. "This one?"
Dramel hummed. "Yeah! It's much stronger than me, but with the help of Big Boss, I should be able to eat it without problems."
"Big Boss?" Yasenia chuckled.
"Yeah, Big Boss Star!"
"I see." Yasenia nodded and took the flute, throwing it into the ring.
For Soluna and Draheart's items, she followed their guidance and was quick to get them. "You three didn't hold back, eh? A Seven Star Flute, Eight Star Crystal, and Nine Star Dragon Core."
Soluna and Dramel giggled, while Draheart smiled faintly.
"Alright, now we can either get another ten Supreme Treasures or one Ancient Treasure."
Sui Xing recommended. "One Ancient. The value of one Ancient Treasure far outshines ten Supreme Ranked ones. It's honestly a bit of a shame that you don't get two Ancient ones instead. But I can understand why you wouldn't. Still, you must get an Ancient for the last spot."
The dragoness nodded. "Alright, I'll do that. Let's go to that room."
While she couldn't detect specifics with her treasure senses, the imposing aura of the Ancient Treasures was something that she could detect from miles away. It took her no longer than ten minutes to arrive at their location.
Her eyes couldn't help but widen. This particular space was different from the others. The Supreme Ranked treasures were strung along the walls and neatly separated. Nevertheless, the rooms were made out of the same materials as the rest of the treasury.
This storage room was grander, with massive towering pillars of light, each one holding a single item. The surroundings were also full of energy, showing how dreadful the influence of these treasures was on their surroundings.
Yasenia blinked and commented. "Say, do we throw those ten Supreme Ranked treasures back where they belonged?"
The four treasures laughed, knowing that Yasenia was joking with them.
