Chapter 1455 - Chapter 1455. Eight Participants Left!

Yasenia waited patiently, and soon platform number 39 moved toward her. Our dragoness was expecting to encounter another person who had suffered quite a bit, but she was surprised.

'He looks quite fresh.'

There were eight people left, including her.

Drakar, a male Demon. Platform 6.

Vrixana, a female Demon. Platform 7.

Lan Ruyu, a human woman from the Jade Storm Heavenly Sect. Platform 14.

Yan Bai, a human man from the Boundless Skyfrost Sanctum. Platform 32.

Voraniel, a male Divine. Platform 39.

Rin Qiao, an undead female from the Black-Rooted Corpse Refining Sect. Platform 55.

Aerthion, a male Divine. Platform 61.

And then, Yasenia, who was on Platform 9.

After ordering everything from furthest to closest, the matches ended up as follows:

6 vs 61

7 vs 55

9 vs 39

14 vs 32

Yasenia had already memorized the platforms, so she knew that she was going to fight against Voraniel, the male Divine.

Voraniel's looks were holy. He had long golden hair, golden eyes, marble-like white skin, defined facial features, and pure white wings.

His body was also not that muscular, looking healthy and lean, while his height was slightly below average.

Overall, his looks made him look pure, innocent, yet handsome. He had a magnetism that attracted those with impure thoughts, calling for them to paint their colors onto the man.

Of course, Yasenia knew that his appearance was far from what this man was. She had observed a bit of the last fights, and he noticed that this Divine fought with pure light-attribute skills. His mastery over them showed in his speed, strength, and many other tactics.

Even when the battle took a while, Voraniel didn't look tired or injured. 'He is probably really good at extended battles.'

Yasenia pondered silently as the platforms merged.

Voraniel looked at Yasenia and smiled faintly. "I heard quite a few things about you, Little Yasenia. It is only now that I meet with you that I feel those tales do not do you justice."

His voice was pleasant and clear. Yasenia's gorgeous straight eyebrow rose faintly, arching seductively. "Oh? Pray tell, what have you heard of me?"

Voraniel chuckled, his body shimmering with beautiful lights. "I've heard of your beauty, power, talent, and some of your feats."

"Like killing that woman's child?" Yasenia smiled faintly, her golden slit eyes curving with her lips. Voraniel's eyes flickered, and Yasenia chuckled. "What was her name… Serathel, right? A woman with hair like fire. She left an impression. After all, the eyes of a mother who wants revenge at all costs leave a lingering sensation on the mind."

Voraniel asked softly. "If you know that, why kill? Why get tangled in such senseless conflict?"

Yasenia tilted her head and smiled. "You are right. I should've opened my arms and allowed a high-level Transcendence senior to skewer my heart and soul." She sighed somewhat dramatically, showing a pitiful expression. "I am still young and inexperienced. I never knew back then that I shouldn't defend myself when thousands of seniors surround me to steal my treasures."

She looked at Voraniel and smiled, her grin somewhat cold. "I shouldn't have slaughtered all those high-level Transcendence people back then. So many potential Law Creators and Demigods, gone, just like that. Truly… a pity."

Her words made the public hiss, their eyes widening. 'She has done what now!?'

While most people knew that Yasenia had a treasure coveted by some superpowers, they didn't know that the reason for the tournament was quite murky. It wasn't that the superpowers offered Yasenia an option, but that they failed to steal it by force, eventually settling down for this tournament.

Voraniel's golden eyes continued looking at Yasenia without any ripples. "You know, Little Yasenia. Sometimes, people own things that they are not able to possess. Even if you got something precious, that doesn't make you worthy of keeping it."

"I understand." Yasenia continued agreeing with him. Then, she added. "I will make sure to give up that kind of treasure if I ever get one in the future. Don't bother, Senior Voraniel."

The word "senior" was mouthed with such clarity that everyone realized the sheer age difference between them. To say that all who participated in this tournament were shameless for facing Yasenia was not a stretch.

Of course, fairness was an illusion. Yasenia's age mattered not, as her strength was the one that needed to do the talking.

Otherwise, potential would remain just that, potential.

Voraniel shook his head, his long golden hair waving with his movements. "I see that you still do not repent. Then, do not blame me. Today, you will learn defeat."

Yasenia extended her hand, and when everyone was expecting her to take out her iconic giant broadsword, something different manifested.

A wave of terrifying killing intent swallowed the arena, forcing Voraniel to pause what he was about to do.

All eyes, even those from other platforms, were attracted to the item that Yasenia summoned as if it had physical attraction qualities.

The ancient flag that manifested in Yasenia's hand, with the ancient words with the meaning of "Endless War" fluttering on it, dimmed its surroundings with its presence. The sheer killing intent it emitted, even in its dormant form, was potent enough to force all mortals to go pale.

Those weaker ones even retched, their hearts thumping in fear.

Anyone with a will not strong enough felt as if the battle flag was about to devour them whole.

And yet, the person holding it looked perfectly fine. Her expression didn't even shift, as her lips remained curved in her typical calm but charming half-smile. Her hands and fingers twirled the flag; as it spun, the fluttering cloth created ripples in the air.

After a few spins, she grabbed the flag like a spear, the cloth dragging on the ground as she took her stance. "Now, Voraniel." Yasenia's smile widened a touch, her golden eyes slowly tinting into a bloody red. "Will you be able to block my attacks?"

"[Heavenly Firmament Sanctuary]."

Celestial energy twisted and rippled out in waves, settling down a domain around them.

Voraniel frowned but didn't attack immediately. Instead, he tried to know what this skill was. He had been observing Yasenia, so he knew that this was a skill she had never used before. 'The domain is… corroding energy?'

Yasenia didn't rush, staring as the man extended his hand and summoned a faint light. This light manifested, but a few moments later, it was forcibly snuffed out as its energy was dissolved by Heavenly Firmament Sanctuary.

Voraniel's calm expression was now solemn. He raised his golden eyes, a color similar to Yasenia's, but brighter. 'That flag is dangerous. Much more dangerous than the sword she used until now.'

Yasenia smiled. "Analyzed enough?" She took a step forward with her left foot, leaning slightly as her muscles tensed. "I won't wait anymore, Voraniel. [Pegasus Gallop]."

When she stomped the ground, the figure of the mythical winged horse manifested, formed by several stars. Simultaneously, Yasenia's gorgeous blue dress transformed, and her intent domains and other skills flared up.

BOOM!

When she finally stepped forward, most of her strengthening skills were flaring up at full force, engulfing the entire area and changing it into a cosmic battlefield.

Voraniel was not a pushover. He was a Level 5 Throne Cleansing Divine, with two Level 4 Intent Domains that he unfolded instantly.

"[Endless Light Intent Domain], [Light Sword Intent Domain]."

A beautiful and pure white sword appeared in his hand, and the second it did, the celestial battlefield Yasenia summoned was flooded by light. The purplish-black background was forcibly transformed into golden light, and countless white swords manifested around them.

Yasenia looked around once as she shortened the distance between them and commanded her Empyrean Galaxy Domain and Celestial Intent Domain to deal with the swords.

The stars and other celestial bodies around them moved, blocking and deflecting the swords.

Their surroundings were instantly swallowed into an apocalyptic event where swords, worlds, and stars collided.

Yasenia's thoughts moved swiftly. 'His Intent Domains are strong; they will probably keep my own occupied.'

The distance between them was already shortened, so she focused on her foe. 'It matters not. I want to see how powerful my pretty little flag truly is.'

When she was close, Yasenia jumped and aimed down. "[Grand Cosmos Martial Art, Third Form: Comet Descent]."

Her body instantly accelerated, transforming into a giant celestial meteor.

Voraniel's face was somewhat solemn. He had not expected his Intent Domain to be suppressed by a lower-leveled Intent Domain. Seeing the giant galaxy blue meteor speeding toward him, the man slashed upward. "[World Dividing Light Sword]."

Sharp energies manifested and condensed into one massive light sword. The sword followed Voraniel's sword path, colliding with Yasenia's attack.

BOOM!!

HUMMM!!

Boundless killing intent exploded from the flag, dimming the blinding light as Yasenia pushed through the attack. The dragoness's lips arched, her now red-slit eyes glowing.

Voraniel's expression faltered, his chest taking some of the impact from the collision. However, Yasenia's attack was weakened enough, and he took it headfirst without much problem.

BANG!

Flag and sword collided, and instantly, the difference in rank manifested. The [Everlasting War Calamity Battle Flag] seemed offended that a Supreme Ranked treasure tried to contend with it, and its aura further exploded, the previous thick killing intent creating a terrifying vortex.

Weaker mortals fainted, unable to take the sheer pressure of the flag anymore, while Voraniel's guard was broken, and his body flew back.

Yasenia laughed as she landed with a sonorous bang in a crouched position. "[Pegasus Gallop]."

White wings flapped as she pushed with the entirety of her bodily strength. The sturdy stone platform cracked slightly, and Yasenia transformed into a white streak of light as she closed the distance in a fraction of a second.

The war flag rose high, and her seductive lips moved once more together with the energy within her body. "[Seven Cosmos Martial Smite]."

Voraniel saw the flag descend onto him as if it were the pillar of heaven, and quickly slashed up. "[Cloud Severing Light Sword]."

BANG!

Both attacks collided and dispersed each other. Yasenia's barrage was far from over, though.

After the flag got repelled, she expertly shifted the weight around, spinning the flag around into a sweeping motion.

The second strike, stronger than the last, forced Voraniel to use the same skill once more.

CLANG!

This time, the flag was not pushed back as much, and Yasenia struck again, her footwork precise and fluid even when she was using a large weapon.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Each attack accumulated momentum, forcing Voraniel to use more skills to defend himself. By the time the sixth attack arrived, he stopped using offensive skills. "[Divine Light Wing Armor]."

His white wings covered his body, and the flag struck them like a metal pole smashing glass.

BOOM!

Voraniel flew back, a cough escaping him as a trail of blood dripped down the corner of his mouth. 'So weighty!'

Yasenia chased after him, her war intent and experience quickly adjusting the flag's path and meeting with the flying divine. "Seventh strike!"

Voraniel quickly used the same skill and even reinforced it. "[Endless Light Shield]!"

BOOM!!!

The strike tore through everything, landing on Voraniel's shoulder and cracking some bones. His body flew back helplessly, Yasenia grinning widely but also knowing that things were just starting.

"Let's see how hard you are to pummel down, Voraniel."

With that, she tightened her grip on the flag and pursued.
