Chapter 1542 - Chapter 1542. Who is it!? Who Has Slighted My Love!?

In one of the strongest worlds within the Heavenly Layer, a massive dragon-shaped castle of pure crystal coiled around a mountain. This dragon's crystallized wings had a Sun and Moon engraved within them, while the light falling on it created the illusion of countless stars gleaming within its scales.

At the heart of the area, a room with a soft, large bed and other luxurious but not extravagant accessories adorned the place. This room also had a life-like statue of a dragon woman, emitting pure allure and seduction.

A short woman whose blonde hair reached her ankles, almost dragging onto the ground, entered the room with an indifferent look. Behind her, a red-scaled lamia wearing a maid's dress and a red-haired, green-eyed, floating woman followed lightly.

The blonde, short woman wore a red and white dress, which highlighted her allure, but also the hidden dagger within her soft, blue eyes.

As she stepped outside the balcony, she looked down and saw a group of people right at the bottom of the crystal palace. "Who are they?"

Selena, the curvy, red-scaled lamia, spoke respectfully. "Madam, they are the Gao Clan. The other day, Madam killed their Young Master, and they are here to ask for an explanation."

Angel paused and asked. "Which of the four recently killed Young Masters is theirs?"

Selena answered. "The one from the Far Corner City."

"Far Corner City…" Angel pondered for a few moments, and then she recalled. "Was he the one who tried to flirt with me in that Formation Shop?"

"Yes, Madam. That's him."

"Oh,"

Angel answered, indifferent. Then, she stepped onto the railing of the balcony and flew down, landing in front of the Gao Clan. Once she landed, there were many who involuntarily took a step back.

The leader of the Gao Family was different, though. "Scarlet Crystal Witch, you killed my son. I want an explanation before you become the enemy of our [Holy Riverside City]."

Angel didn't answer and gently tapped her foot, instantly creating a formation that reproduced what happened that day.

After the images passed, Angel asked. "Enough?"

Family Head Gao didn't show any reaction. However, internally, he was cursing his son a thousand times. 'You lecherous bastard. Didn't I tell him not to provoke this goddess of slaughter? Why did he think with his dick when he saw her the first time?'

Still, when he looked at Angel, he slightly understood. Angel's beauty was the kind that aroused a sense of possessiveness. Even after all her killings, at a first glance, Angel looked utterly adorable, with a body so curvaceous for her height that one could imagine a thousand indecent positions that would make one's blood boil with raw desire.

'However, this woman is not a thorny rose. She is a man-devouring flower!'

His clan, the Gao Family, was not weak. They had several Sixth Level Transcendence Realm cultivators. As a top clan in one of the strongest worlds across the entire Heavenly Layer, he possessed many methods and a sturdy foundation accumulated for hundreds of thousands of years.

So, while Angel was strong, was she powerful enough to fight his clan and all of his allies?

"Scarlet Crystal Witch, this is not a reason for killing him, isn't it?"

Angel looked at him for a few seconds, already knowing what was happening. "Clan Leader Gao… Is it worth it? How many deaths will it take to avenge your son? I repeat. Is it worth it?"

At this moment, those old timers behind Clan Leader Gao couldn't help but pause. They also agreed with Angel. This time, the other side provoked first, so further aggravating or provoking this woman was truly not worth it.

"Clan Leader Gao, as an elder, I do recommend to just accept the loss this time."

"Do you want me to swallow the death of my Son?"

"Yes." That person answered flatly. "It is really not worth endangering our foundation just to avenge your Son. You and I both know what kind of attitude he had."

Clan Leader Gao pursed his lips, looking at Angel, and then turned around with a flick of his long sleeve. He didn't even leave a single word behind, or his anger might truly explode.

Seeing their leader turn around, those accompanying him all sighed in relief, a touch of fear flashing in their eyes when looking at the indifferent, petite woman.

After they left, Angel didn't leave straight away. She blinked in a daze, her heart a bit numb. Then, she looked up at the sky. "How much longer…"

Mirrory looked at Angel, opening and closing her mouth. Finally, she sighed. "Soon. I am sure she will come back soon."

"Oh," Angel answered flatly. She had heard that answer too many times.

Selena, who knew that Yasenia was on the way this time around, wanted to speak up. However, she knew that speaking now would not be wise. After all, only Yasenia was able to truly deal with Angel.

Selena suddenly blinked, her ruby-like slit eyes glancing to the distance with a frown. "...Is this what that Gao old man spoke about, letting it go?"

Angel looked over as well, and she saw thousands of people flying toward her castle. Looking at this familiar scene once more, Angel sighed again. Her voice spread out, covering thousands of kilometers. "Is it worth it?"

A woman at the forefront, holding a spear, spoke with righteousness. "To kill a demon, no amount of sacrifice is unworthy!"

Angel blinked. "A Demon?" Her lips arched very faintly. "I am the inheritor of a Saint, not a demon."

That woman snorted. "The heir of a Saint? Don't make me laugh, Angel Dravory. You, a murderous woman, will never even compare to even a hairstrand of someone who carries the esteemed title of a Saint!"

Selena looked back and forth, and looking at the communication device, she sighed. 'It seems that this time, Young Miss will make it in time before Madam Angel goes on another killing spree.'

Mirrory glanced at Selena, and seeing her slightly relieved look, she instantly understood what was happening. Her eyebrows arched, and a small smirk appeared on her lips.

Angel summoned her sword and shield, both adorned with complex red and white accessories. Her energy boomed out, showing Fourth Level Transcendence Strength, and her Intent Domains unfurled with similar strength.

The world around her creaked, space collapsing and repairing from her presence alone. Feeling her strength, everyone who had come to kill Angel felt a chill of both danger and fear.

Even when most of them were Level Three to Level Six Sixth Realm cultivators, none of them felt even a touch comparable to her.

However, as they were about to battle, they saw Angel suddenly freeze, her energy dissipating as her blue eyes widened for a second. A hand went to her heart, where an extremely faint connection remained, painstakingly maintained over the last decades through countless methods.

The connection that had been dormant for decades had, almost imperceptibly, pulsed. It felt as if a thin thread had connected her to someone else, and the presence on the other side, while far, was traversing the distance between them like a demon incarnate. Not even Angel felt confident in traversing the cosmos at that speed.

Meanwhile, far beyond the world, when Yasenia reconnected with Angel's almost severed connection, she felt a small influx of emotion from it. That influx transmitted: Longing, pain, numbness, and a touch of bloodthirstiness and indifference.

For a second, Yasenia was doubting if the person on the other side was her baby. However, after she confirmed it in her heart, everyone on the ship felt the atmosphere change.

Andrea and the rest looked over and saw Yasenia's golden slit eyes change to a deep, blood-red color, as if red ink had fallen into her irises.

She didn't speak, raising her leg and stomping on the railing of the flying ship. Then, the muscles in Yasenia's leg bulged as she flexed, and without any regard for the flying treasure, she pushed.

CREAAAK!

BOOM!

The ship was blasted backward, a massive section of it collapsing from Yasenia's pushing strength. In the distance, they saw blue light illuminating the cosmos as a massive dragon manifested.

The dragon, using the impulse and momentum, flapped its sky-shrouding wings and tore through space itself as it accelerated toward Angel's world at a terrifying speed.

Those standing opposite Angel were confused as to why Angel had suddenly looked skyward with such a… vivid expression. It was well known that this woman lacked facial expressions, as if she were made of crystal.

Now, though, the usually indifferent blue eyes were wide open, showing both incredulity, expectation, and grievances.

"Scarlet Blood Witch! What are you looking at!?"

As she asked, everyone suddenly felt something and looked up. Using their immortal senses, they saw a blue light flashing in the distance. As if a small star had been born and disappeared right away.

However, for some reason, everyone present felt an incredible sense of dread welling up within them. As if their very basic instinct of survival was screaming at them to run.

It was then that the world darkened.

A single figure tore out of reality itself, clawing her way out as her gigantic figure manifested in their world. The Empyrean Cosmos Dragon Progenitor, with her over 140 kilometers wide wingspan, covered the sky above them, shadowing the world itself.

Everyone who saw that figure couldn't help but have a touch of familiarity. As if they had seen this figure somewhere. Only those sharp enough suddenly recalled the crystal-dragon acting as Angel's place.

The dragon in the sky, with eyes as red as fresh blood, spoke with a voice that carried such killing intent that it darkened the world itself. "Who is it? Who has made my love feel this way!?"

The dragon's question, few understood. Only those who made the connection. And those people, without a single moment of hesitation, tore their life-saving treasures and quickly fled the place.

Seeing so many people fleeing, the rest who had gathered also reacted, wanting to retreat. "Flee? You want to flee after upsetting my dearly pampered baby to this extent!? DELUSIONAL INSECTS! STAY HERE FOR ME! [CELESTIAL INTENT DOMAIN]!"

The world was swallowed up, every single person within the range of the skill being sucked into Yasenia's cosmos. The purplish background with endless stars, galaxies, and planets surrounded all present, making them feel a sense of dread like never before.

However, at this moment, a single voice pierced the incredibly tense atmosphere. It was a whiny, teary, and adorable voice. "It was you who made me this upset!"

The dragon in the sky, who seemed like the ruler of the cosmos itself, suddenly froze, its gaze moving toward the woman who spoke. When those trapped and who had not made the concession noticed who had spoken, they felt their legs weakening.

No one present was stupid, and many connections were instantly made. Then, under their surprised eyes, the dragon who could make mountains look like small bumps on a flat road, disappeared in a flash of blue light, reappearing as a woman.

The woman who appeared once more made everyone's brain crash. Even Angel, who was about to cry, felt her tears stop, looking at that figure with a stunned look.

Yasenia flashed in front of Angel, her eyes panicky and her tail tangling behind her as she asked with a stutter. "M-Me!? I-It was me!? I am so sorry, Baby. I am so sorry!"

Everything was progressing too fast for these people, leaving them unable to react!
