*Briella*
I sometimes felt like I could find answers in the sky.
I kicked my feet lightly, letting them sway, my bare toes brushing the grass beneath the marble bench I was sitting on. This little garden had become something of a sanctuary, a sacred place where I could just let my thoughts run wild.
I stared up at the night sky, feeling as if it was watching me and had something to tell me.
“Please, if you have some answers, I would love to hear them,” I murmured quietly.
I watched the sky carefully, paying attention to each twinkle of the stars, and the beams of moonlight that fell down.
When my parents were getting ready to leave Embervale to return to the Light Realm, I felt a sense of panic. They hugged me fiercely. I could feel desperation well up inside of me. I wasn’t ready for them to leave. I basked in their comfort, knowing that just for that moment, I could be a little girl again with no responsibilities and no worries.
