Even though Joy Sutton was mentally prepared, when she heard it, she couldn't help but her expression froze, and she nervously pinched the hem of her clothes.
As Joy's mother, Sharon Warren immediately noticed her discomfort and spoke slightly annoyed.
"Are you regretting now?"
Joy Sutton quickly waved her hand in denial.
"No, Mom, I'm just a bit nervous."
Sharon Warren snorted.
"That's good, don't think about running away at this critical moment."
Joy Sutton nodded, pursed her lips, and tried to put on a smile, pretending to be calm.
Thirty minutes later, Nancy Sutton was sitting on the sofa watching TV, and upon hearing the doorbell, Sharon Warren quickly ran over.
She took a room card from someone's hand and walked over to Joy Sutton, handing it to her.
Joy Sutton took the room card with slightly trembling hands, her eyes appeared vacant and powerless, and Sharon Warren immediately gave her a firm push to lift her spirits.
