Nancy Sutton, after finishing breakfast, sat down facing Alvin Hughes, and finally said to him, "Faye Lee, you've been busy with work at the company for quite a while now. Why don't you go home and take a look? Don't hold a grudge with your family. I really feel quite guilty towards you."
He was very aware that if it weren't for Alvin Hughes coming to the company to help him, he wouldn't have been able to hold out this long in this position. But the relationship between Alvin Hughes and his family was getting more strained, all because of him.
Now he had a new little family, which he felt especially gratified about, but he also hoped Alvin Hughes could return to his own home, as his parents truly loved and cared for him for his own good.
Alvin Hughes understood that Nancy Sutton must have sensed his feelings, which is why she asked him to go home. When he thought about his family, he found himself somewhat missing them too.
