The next morning, I started thinking about which familia I would choose. This took a while as this is definitely a choice that determines my future. I could wait for Hestia. However, then I would have to wait for who knows many years. And I don't really feel like that.
Hephaestus is a great familia as well, as she cares a lot for her children. But, you have to be a crafter for that. And yes my hell flame affinity could come in handy for that, but I am not that interested in doing it. So I leave that option aside.
Ishtar and Hermes are options that appeared next in my mind. However, I immediately ignored them, as I remembered the kind of gods they were from the stories that I have read.
Next, there was Freya and Loki, and after thinking for a while I chose Loki. Although Freya is a very powerful goddess, her familia is just too troublesome. And Loki, might be very manipulative, but she is still very protective of her children.
Now I was just left with trying to find a way for me to join her familia. 'How should I do this?' I started wondering. 'Aghh... I'll just go to Eina, she should be able to introduce me to Loki', I hoped.
After eating an old bread with the money I had left, I entered the Adventure Guild again.
I immediately saw the half-elf Eina with another female receptionist with wolf characteristics, so I went to them.
'Oh, so this is your new adventurer Eina? Such a good-looking lad. You sure got lucky. All the adventurers that I receive are some old ugly guys.', said the female werewolf.
'Haha, true...', Eina thought while looking at Cain with a small smile.
Immediately after she put her attention again on the conversation.
While introducing us to each other, 'Yes this guy here is Cain, he just registered here yesterday. Cain this is Rose Fannet, she is another receptionist here and she will help you if I am not available'.
'Pleasure to meet you', I immediately said.
'Likewise', said Rose with a smile.
After an awkward pause, Eina started asking 'So Cain, what brings you here?'
'Ohh thanks for asking, I was hoping you could introduce me to Loki. As I would like to join her familia.' I quickly said with a pleading look on my face.
After that face, Eina was frozen for a while as she didn't expect me to make such a cute expression. She luckily snapped back quickly and reacted 'Yeah I could do that, however, keep in mind that Loki prefers to choose her adventurers in an event. So she will be more strict in choosing people this way unless you have some extraordinary ability.'
'No worries, I am confident that I can prove myself to her. And you won't regret recommending me!', I pleaded again.
'Fine, I'll do my best for you. I'll schedule your meeting for tonight at 8 PM at Loki's place. But remember you owe me for this one', she said with a wink.
'I'll pay you back in the future, I promise!', I said loudly.

After exploring the city a little more, and while seeing many nice places like the Hostess of fertility, it was finally time to meet Loki. So I hurried to her familia's place. My first impression of it, was a big mansion with many people going in and out of the place. After trying to enter, I was immediately stopped by an older guy, that looked like a senior adventurer.
'Halt! Who are you and what are you doing here?', he said.
'Hi, my name is Cain, I have an appointment with Loki at 8 PM and it is mostly for seeing if I could join her familia.', I answered.
'Ahh so you are the guy that Eina told us about. Well come in, just go straight until you reach the stairs. She is on the upper floor so you just have to go up.', the man said.
'Thank you sir, and just out of curiosity what is your name?', I inquired.
'Paul Nord and good luck with persuading Loki.' he said with a smile.
After nodding to make some of my nerves disappear I started walking to Loki's chamber.

knock knock...
'Enter', said a female voice.
I knew this was Loki as I saw her already in the anime. And I must say she was truly beautiful. She had red hair red eyes and a small figure with some bulges here and there hehe. I quickly introduced myself and explained to her my reasoning for choosing her familia.
'Heh, so you are Cain huh. Eina recommended you, so I hope for you that you have some ability. As I wouldn't want to leave her disappointed.' she said with a mischievous smile.
'I wouldn't take this approach if I didn't.', I said while smiling back.
Loki froze for a second, due the smile. As, though I didn't notice it, my current appearance was really otherworldly. Mostly because of my amber eyes, sometimes you could even see flames in them if you kept staring in them.
After a couple of seconds, she said 'Well you probably know the drill. Take off your shirt and lay on your front. Let's see what we're working with...'
After I laid on my stomach, I saw her dropping some of her blood on my back thanks to a mirror in front of me. And I got some pleasant notifications.
"Ding"
"Congratulations, host, you have unlocked the power system of this world, by unlocking your falna. You can now upgrade your own level without the need to ask a god or goddess."
'Well, that could come in handy I guess", I thought with a smile.
