Gil abruptly stood up etting ready to utter the truth. His standing shocked Hazel who wanted to quiet him, but Gil shook his head through not talking the truth.
"What do you think you're trying to do!? They cannot do anything to us!" Hazel said with a yelling voice.
"You're right about that. But we have enough proof on our side to expose you guys, it doesn't matter if you don't say anything. The reason I am giving you the chance to explain yourself is because I want to know who is really behind everything. I know you're not the ones behind this whole plan," Lennox said with a firm tone. His calm expression stated that he was being serious.
The calmness in his voice made Gil and Hazel feel uncomfortable as they knew that everything he said was true. Hazel scoffed as he gave up trying to lie anymore. He then took his seat back down on the couch, and he gently softened his face before saying, "All right then, I shall explain everything thing to you."
Hazel firmly spoke with a calm voice. Lennox quietly nodded his head awaiting his explanation words. The room grew quietly as he started to explain everything, Gil gently sat back down on with his gaze on Hazel.
"It's true that we weren't the one who came up with it. But even us we don't know the person name. He was the one who planned for the assassins to go after Ryan, we heard from him that he was even coming here. We were supposed to guide the assassins towards killing Ryan." Hazel saying, he raised his firm gaze looking at Lennox face. Lennox frowned his face after the person knew Ryan was coming.
"How did this person know you were coming here, did you rely anything to anyone when you left?" asked Lennox. Ryan simply denied that as the case.
"I don't have any family or friends where I'm from, so one should know where I was going," Ryan replied.
"You're wrong," Riley muttered with a serious voice. Lennox and the others turned their gazes at Riley, as she calmly started to saying, "I might be new as a adventurer but even I not that dumb to not think this."
Ryan frowned his eyes in confusion, he had no clue what Riley was trying to utter. "What do you mean?" He asked with a soft voice.
"Huh, I guess you still don't want to believe it yourself, but it's still fine if you don't want to accept the truth. The more you try to deny it the more it will crash you in the end." Riley muttered with smug look. Looking at her with a confused look, Ryan questioned her comment wanting an explanation.
Riley slightly sighed thinking he was acting to not accept the problem. Truly, inside Ryan did not understand her words. She scoffed and frowned her gaze towards looking at Ryen side saying, "It was someone at the guild that leaked the information."
Ryan faintly laughed immediately denying the comment for Rily words. He could not believe anyone could betray the guild. Everyone there were chosen by Jack through specific care, that no one can ever course harm to the guild; Jack was the type to have good judgment of people characters. His judgment on people characters was greatly influenced by his good hearted personality.
"I can believe that anyone inside the guild could do such a thing. Not in guild have ever done such a thing before, why would the start now? I won't start thinking that way now, I am sorry," said Ryan.
"But everything is point at that! Even if you don't want to believe that could be true it doesn't mean that, it can't be the truth. I'm not trying to cause friction inside the guild, but all the facts are pointing at them." Riley replied.
"Oh okay you two that is enough now. Let us discuss this some other time. We should return back on what was asked, I am sure that you might know something about who was involved with this. So please tell?" Lennox faintly smiled winning a eye at Hazel side.
"I told you the truth, I don't know who is behind this," Hazel said with a soft voice.
"You know that I won't believe that shit you're saying right now, just tell us the truth right now or we will expose your whole scheme to everyone. And I don't believe ypu did this for the people when none of the profit made from past dealing were brought up to help the village at all." Lennox stated with a firm tone. He looked down at Hazel face with a serious expression.
"You gotta know anything about them. It isn't possible for someone to do business you a stranger without know their identity. It would be better for you to speak the truth, because nothing you're saying pleases my ears right now." Lennox raised his eyebrows signalling that he was waiting on Hazel to tell the truth. But both Hazel and Gil hesitated on speak the name of the person they were doing business with. To their know the person was more dangerous than the strongest adventurer in the world, they had families to think about before saying anything to Lennox.
"I can't, no I just can't do it. They will kill my family."
"Same here with me as well. I can't risk my family lives."
Both Hazel and Gil refused to utter a single word, they thought of their families protection first. Lennox gritted his teeth in anger, and Ryan quietly nodded his head commending the two fools bravery; They really thought that they were protecting their families, but in truth they were doing what the person behind everything wanted from them. He imposed fear through them to keep them silent.
"I really feel sad for you guys." Ryan muttered with a sad look. Hazel immediately questioned him.
"You guys are just pawns for this person youre trying to protect. You're all just worthless pawns that this person is using to hide his identity. You do know by taking the fall for this person that you all will be painted as evil people towards the eyes of everyone. Every the families you want to protect will experience the same treatment as you. If I were you guys I will tgink hard if I want those people outside there to find out the truth cause from my viewing of them they really ja e anger issues." Ryan said with a slight gesture of matter in his voice. He really wanted them to admit to their crime and utter the person name who was responsible for everything. To his view the people was genuinely smart to install fear into the people working with; A scared ally is more trusted that a good friend, as a good friend could easily betray you when the perfect time come. But a scared ally is too frighten to betray the person in thought.
Hazel grabbed his head as he was feeling frustrated, he muttered underneath his breathe arguing with himself on telling the truth. But fear was keeping him for talking out. Gil was nervously looked around the room wondering if he should say that person name. He had cold sweat across his face as he felt the pressure coming out from Ryan gaze.
Hazel quietly sighed looking at Lennox side, and said, "Oh alright, I would tell you the name."
