Chapter 178 - Thor's Victory

............…..

Third Person P.O.V.

Superheroes and their associates continue to silently cleanse the world of its filth, apprehending the evil rich people who made it their life mission to make the world a worse place, or simply do it as a hobby.

One of the places that is considered a cradle of the evil they are fighting now is none other than Hollywood. In truth, Los Angeles in general, but Hollywood in particular as the capital of the movie industry, needs special attention.

A beautiful and sweet trap that attracts new blood filled with dreams…

That is why both Iron Man and Black Widow are sent to Los Angeles to deal with that.

Black Widow, on her part, was there to apprehend the remnants of the human trafficking ring Eidolon destroyed, but only dealt with 97% of the whole scheme. He did more than cripple it, but the real perpetrators, protected by layers upon layers of proxy and fame, are hard to get by.

After that, he kind of ignored them because they couldn't commit more evil, but then it pissed him off seeing them living their lives normally like they hadn't destroyed countless people.

He also doesn't think it is healthy to "suicide" everyone, as he did with the worst of the worst. The world also deserves to know, and the survivors must feel vindicated.

So he dug deeper into the cesspool and finally got the name of everyone with the powers he acquired since he destroyed those human trafficking rings months ago.

The power of the Stand [ Moody Blues] is the MVP, but the fact he was aware of how bad things are loosened his morals enough to use more invasive methods, like mind searching.

And then now we have it…

"Pizza, huh? Really fucking funny…" Black Widow says with an edge in her calm voice while stomping a guy in the balls and then in the chest.

By doing it in this order, he will still feel the sharp pain in his groin and will not be able to scream to alleviate the pain after having his air pushed out of his lungs.

The guy lets out a low, whistle-like sound while crying.

"Black Widow, Ma'am." A S.H.I.E.L.D. agent approaches her. "We already put down all deliveries." He speaks in code.

"Good, get everyone and let's move to our next target." She orders before walking away

The said "deliveries" are small bombs, but not one that would simply explode; they would release a rapid-action cement foam, and their purpose is to seal the tunnels beneath this place.

That is how a lot of the human trafficking is made; those guys are simply too rich and well-connected to need to use white vans. They are everywhere; they've been there since this city was built, so they can make sure the whole city's infrastructure has hidden spaces for them to commit their evil acts.

Not that hard to do, to be honest; there was an entire city of mutants beneath Manhattan, so it is easy to imagine what more can be under everyone's feet.

The metaphor writes itself; beneath everyone's nose, away from the light and in dark places, evil is committed.

Even more ironic is that many of those powerful people literally used the fact that mutants lived underground as a justification to vilify them, using the childish correlation of evil and dark places to that… and in the end, those same people are the ones committing evil far from the eye of society, in dark tunnels like bad creatures of a fairy tale.

On Iron Man's side, he is dealing with maybe less powerful people, but much more famous. While Natasha is apprehending the no-name enforcers, the ones that do a lot of the dirt work, Stark is encumbered with exposing the public figures that secretly are part of this.

Eidolon gave Stark this task as a way for the guy to cut ties with this world.

When investigating those that are involved… well, there are a lot of acquaintances of Tony Stark. The billionaire party-goer's history will not look good when everything is exposed, especially when many famous names come up.

Eidolon knows that Stark is not involved; in truth, he is on the list of "keeping in the dark by all means". He is a manwhore who does questionable acts, but not a deviant criminal of this level.

Eidolon will not allow the good reputation of the superheroes in general to be tainted by any ill-intended rumor. Stark will be the little beacon of light amidst the many disappointments that people are about to be hit with.

Not all rich and famous people are bad. That is the message the work Stark is doing will pass.

Some involved are not that bad, too, but are too deep in it, through blackmail and slow degradation of their morals.

After a bite of prohibited fruit, paradise is lost forever after all. Many started their careers already chained to those evil groups, without the knowledge and without a choice to refuse.

Then it is dying to keep the secret or a life of success by selling their souls… It is not evil to choose to live; it is pretty human.

But Eidolon respects the incorruptible who unfortunately suffered accidents, overdoses, or slow destruction of the public persona through scandals and media bullying. Those last are the lucky ones.

Now, Stark is angry, and he regrets not installing some red LEDs on his visor to reflect his state of mind, but theatricals belong to the people that he is attacking now.

ZiiiinBlam

Without any fucks given Iron Man cuts through the door in the balcony of a mansion and steps inside while wearing his armor.

"Stark! What the fuck?!" A known director of a famous channel sits up from his bed and shouts

"Oh hello, buddy. Hope I am not interrupting." Stark says, friendly, the armor speakers hiding his cold tone

"Are you drunk again, Stark?? This is not funny!"

"I wish… Then I would be able to puke on your carpet." Stark steps forward slowly. "But there is always an alternative."

Thud

He punches the guy in the stomach after holding his shoulder.

"Guuuuuuuhhh…." He obviously held back, but even so, the fat man's eyes widen comically while he slowly crouches down. "Bleeeeeeehhh." Then comes the puking

"Yep, that works… get it all out, don't want anything to fall into my armor while I carry you away." Iron Man's slightly robotic tone is cold and menacing while he looms over him.

............

"Why do we have to deal with the superpowered ones?" Shego complains as she steps over the body. "I want to burn the face of some actresses too… There are like three that I never liked that are on the list. I feel vindicated for hating their guts without a reason."

"Because you can't burn their faces, but we can kill them." Helena points out as she fires a bolt from her crossbow to end the life of a muscular man who was already pinned down on the wall.

The two are walking through a cave path, one that opens to a big grotto.

They are not alone; Cassandra is scouting ahead, and Rover is by their side if they need some huge firepower.

The only signs of civilization in the grotto are the path, statues, and inscriptions carved in the wall.

"Creepy place." Shego comments, using her green fire to see the drawings better, and the contents are disgusting. "If I were not so strong, I would have already left."

"That is the smart thing to do… You would survive in a horror movie." Helena shrugs, eyes paying attention to every detail and everywhere.

Fwoosh Shego waves her arm, and her green fire flies to hit every torch and altar, lighting up the place more.

"Thank you, green fire doesn't make this place more creepy." Helena comments with a sarcastic tone.

The two start walking while talking.

"Believe it or not, I feel safer this way… I still have some control over this fire that I made." Shego says "

"Neat." Helena shrugs, uninterested.

"Right? I can make my territory… If I were not a… ugh, a hero." She says with disgust, "Every fight I would raise hell and simply fuck up my opponent."

"You barely go out to fight." Helena pokes at Shego's laziness

"I have more important things to do."

"What is more important than saving people? Your job is what Eidolon tells you to do; everything outside of it is your hobby." Helena says

"And he doesn't tell me to do anything."

"Because he is nice. Put some work on your own."

"Why bother? He got it figured out; I don't even think he needs us."

"At least lessen his burden and help the ones he can't reach unless he works 24/7."

"I do that sometimes… My powers are not meant to 'save'. If I see a villain creating havoc, though… I deal with him fast."

"Yeah, you can at least do that." Helena says with a small tug on her lips

"I do not like your tone…" Shego noticed the small mocking tone

"Nothing… I am so proud of you~ You help a loooot!"

"..." At this point, Shego's eyes are narrowing dangerously. "Fuck you." She says with a scoff, "You should stop using your free time beating people."

"It is very relaxing." Helena shrugs

"There are better ways~" Shego says with a little innuendo

"Don't even start." Helena cuts her off quickly.

The talk can't continue because a monster suddenly blocks their path.

Eidolon really assigned the real fight as the SCP's responsibility, but in some way, they are having the easy job. There is no one really stronger than them in this mission, and they prefer this a thousand times over dealing with the public mess the Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D. will have to deal with.

Even Eidolon is not looking forward to it, and he will wait till he only has to give an interview to clear the population's doubts and forget about this night.

That is why neither Shego nor Helena react too strongly when an enormous and scary monster appears. The grotesque appearance, like an amalgamation of people and animals, doesn't do more than make them scrunch their noses a little.

"Those people are really disgusting." Shego opens her palm, a bright green flame shining above it.

But Helena attacks first.

Thwip

She shoots with her crossbow; the bolt moves faster than the creature can react and hits it square in the chest.

It would not do much if it was only that, but the bolt grew in size mid-air, becoming as tall and thick as a lamppost, so even the building-sized creature felt it.

Not only did it feel the attack, but the bolt was so sharp and strong that it impaled the monster and nailed him to the wall behind.

It roars and groans, but Helena is ready to shut it up.

Teleporting to the air above it, she points her crossbow down and shoots again.

ThwipBuchi

Another lamppost-sized bolt impales the monster, but now from the top of its head to its crotch, nailing it to the ground. It kills it instantly.

Helena teleports back to her spot without a word, and a wave of green fire hits the monster.

"Are they weak or are we really strong?" Shego asks, genuinely curious, blowing the fire off her fingers like she just shot a gun, and cocking her hip to the side.

"We are not that strong." Helena says while they are staring at the monster being burnt and decomposed by the acidic fire.

"Your standards are too high."

"It is all relative… yes, we are strong if we don't need to fight the Hulk or Thor. Eidolon made sure we at least can survive and run in this case." Helena says, "But there are even worse things that can simply kill us before we can blink." She remembers her own universe, and how it was destroyed before she even knew what was happening

"Dark…" Shego nods, not really empathizing with Helena's plight. "Rover! Don't eat that!" She turns her head fast to stop the dog, which was sniffing the burning monster. "It is not meat for you!"

It is by pulling Rover by his collar that the two finally reach the main room of this hideout.

It is a more detailed construction, like a church that was sculpted inside a huge cave, with stairs, pillars, murals, statues, a huge altar…

That is where they would get ready for their last fight in this hideout… if there is any fight remaining…

All around the place there are bodies of enemies, hundreds of them lying in puddles of blood, defeated.

"I am more surprised that Shadow is still not done." Shego comments, looking up; they can see that Eidolon's sidekick is still engaged in a fight with a woman.

"Must be an outlier of this group… and from the look of things, it is about to be over anyway." Helena says with an imperceptible shrug as the group approaches calmly.

The woman Shadow is fighting is wearing a strange bikini armor, blue in color and alien in appearance.

"What the heck? That thing covers nothing… There is not even a top, just two coins to cover the nipples." Shego is taken aback. "Slut…"

"Nothing much…" Helena is already used to meeting women with barely anything covering their bodies, so she is not surprised.

"She has big badonkas too; let's kill her before she falls on Eidolon's dick." Shego threatens.

"Wait a minute… let me check…" Helena puts her crossbow in the holster on her thigh and points her wrist at the woman.

Her wrist device opens a little and raises a small holographic screen that she uses to capture the woman's image.

"Hm? She is not in the database." Helena tilts her head

"So just a random…"

"Not even her armor that seems to be giving her those fighting abilities."

"He likes collecting trinkets; let's take the armor from her and leave her here."

"I don't mind." Helena comments

They watch the fight and already understand that the woman is no big threat. She moves fast and tries to cut Shadow with the blades popping off her wrist, but the heroine is faster.

Shadow crouches down and delivers a sharp punch in the woman's exposed stomach.

"That is why you cover your whole body." Shego mocks while watching the woman's eyes bulge.

Shadow then moves behind; from her hands, Black Whip starts emerging, and when she reaches the woman's back, the power is already restraining the woman perfectly, going through all articulations and making her body taut as a bow.

"Ugh!" The woman groans in pain as Shadow tightens her grip and raises her in the air to not give her any leverage.

It is her victory.

"Took you long enough." Shego comments, and the group approaches more.

"Interesting bracelet… makes the armor." Shadow answers with a deadpan tone.

"Bracelet? This one?" Helena looks at the woman's wrists and removes something that looks to be protruding and removable from the armor that glues to the skin.

The change is immediate; when she removes the blue bracelet, the armor recedes with it.

"Really looks more alien than demonic… Like a xenomorph thing." Shego comments, "Ah, now she is fully naked."

Without the armor, the woman is completely bare to their eyes; luckily, to her modesty, there are only women here to see.

"Rover don't sniff there! It must smell like dead fish!" Shego pushes the monster dog away with her foot.

Ignoring Shego, Helena turns to the restrained woman.

"So… Wanna talk a little about yourself?" She says with a flirtatious tone, trying not to look at the woman's gigantic breasts. "I know that we skipped some steps, but believe me, you better talk now." She advises

"What she is trying to say is that if you don't talk, we are gonna extract information in a more invasive way, maybe even painfully." Shego says unkindly.

The woman glares at them, eyes darting between the three.

"..." The woman keeps her mouth shut

"Okay, just remove her limbs; we can invade her mind later." Shego plays the 'bad cop' and talks with a dismissive tone.

Shadow understands the assignment and pulls a big knife from behind her and approaches the woman silently and menacingly.

"Okay! Okay! I will talk!" The woman folds immediately, seeing Shadow put the knife above her elbow.

She probably became familiar with Cassandra's ruthlessness during the fight. The teen has come a long way from her dislike of killing and hurting others; she can control her empathic reading better now, so she will not instinctively feel what her victims feel.

And her rational mind understands why those people should die.

"That was quick…" Helena says, a little surprised. "She didn't even have to do her part as the 'good cop' and try to convince her to talk.

"Those cultists are all cowards when they are not zealots." Shego scoffs

Tonight she learned there are two types of cultists: the ones that don't fear death because they think the afterlife in Hell will be a reward, and the ones that fear death very much because they know nothing expects good for them on the other side.

"You can start by saying your name, your relationship with those people, and what this is." Helena spins the amulet on her finger.

The woman breathes hard, then sighs loudly and opens her mouth.

"I am Vicki."

"Pretty common name…"

"I was chosen by the God Pazuzu as his priestess and hold his Amulet." Vicki reveals.

"What god? You mean a demon." Shego says in a mocking tone

The woman looks like she wants to retort, but thought better of it, seeing the situation she is in.

"Yep, the Amulet of Pazuzu is in the database, and it looks like this." Helena was already checking if she was telling the truth. From her wrist, holo-screens appear, showing pages of old books and a drawing of the amulet and of the demon.

If Hector were here, he would have noticed the blade that comes from the armor wrist is similar to the claws Pazuzu is using to fight Thor, so the relation is genuine.

The Amulet gives the wearer a little of the demon's power, similar to how it would happen if a human ingested a demon's blood through ritual. But it is much safer and almost without risks.

They ask more questions, just to fill the gap in their knowledge and confirm things they already know.

When they are satisfied, Shego finally says.

"I guess that is enough… just another useless bitch." She sighs and raises her hand, green flames burning strongly.

"Wait! You said that you would let me live!" Vicki starts saying with clear despair in her voice, struggling against her bindings

"Never promised that… Only said that it would be even worse if you didn't talk." Shego's tone is like she is explaining to a child with some mental impairment. "And it is true, we will kill you fast now. Don't worry, the flames are to erase any traces of your body."

"I will do it cleanly." Helena adds, raising her wrist and pointing it at Vicki's forehead; a hardlight construct crossbow appears on her forearm.

"Nonononononono!" The woman is in denial. "You can't do that! You are heroes! I have human rights!!" She tries

But that only makes Shego cackle like a madwoman.

"Hear this fucking bitch… Trying to impose rules on us that she doesn't follow, so hypocrite." Shego shakes her head with a big smile before fixing the woman with a cold gaze, "And there is no such thing as Human Rights… they are privileges, and you lost them."

Tak

A bolt flies from Helena's wrist before the woman can answer, making a hole between her eyebrows, killing her instantly.

"That's why I am not cut to be a hero… those fuckers piss me off. Doing whatever they want and then claim we need to follow the rules." Shego says with disdain as she puts fire on the woman's body. "If Eidolon just started to openly kill the villains, I bet it would cut their numbers by more than half because they are cowards. Hmpf, just do villainy because they think the worst it can happen is going to jail."

"That is literally describing you as a villain." Helena gives her a side glance

"Exactly. Being on this side sucks. Luckily, my man is not a pussy." Shego doesn't deny the accusation.

"Having a no-killing rule is not being a pussy." Helena argues

"Not even you believe that." Shego rolls her eyes before raising her arms and creating a shower of fire from her hands; then she throws a ball in the air that explodes and starts raining smaller balls, like a firework.

"I do… It makes things harder but is respectable." Helena says as the whole place is filled with corrosive flames that stick to everything, even stone.

"Pffft. Yeah, right…" The two continued to argue while walking away from the burning room.

............

Mirror Dimension

Before Eidolon finished his fight, Thor was still engaged in a fierce combat with his two foes.

Ba'al, that is truly Hadad, and Pazuzu pulled out their weapons to take down the God of Thunder. Thor is considerably famous through the pantheon of gods, and the circle of demons… After all, his father is pretty famous, and he was pretty wild in the more than a thousand years he lived, and more importantly to the enemies in his way: the Mjolnir.

The hammer is famous across all pantheons; it is one of the weapons normally associated with the All-Father because of how strong it is, but now it is used by Thor.

That is a testament to how "stacked" Asgard is in terms of items of power, and why it is one of the strongest and most feared groups of gods. They are pretty advanced in many ways: magic, science, and that, coupled with the fact they are a warrior-oriented race, means that they obviously become masters at crafting weapons.

Only the Greek Pantheon can compare, and that is mostly because of Hephaestus, because the Greeks are pretty diverse in their interests and there is no equivalent for the God of Blacksmiths among any other pantheons.

A Pantheon of a warrior race needs to be feared; Ba'al and Pazuzu understand that. So they begrudgingly started going out against the young god, who hadn't lived long enough for the duo to consider him much different than the average human.

Zaaap

Hadad thrust his golden lance in Thor's direction, a thick bolt of blue lightning in his fellow God of Thunder.

Thor spins the Mjolnir in a defensive gesture, and the circle made by the hammer stops the attack so easily that it is borderline contemptuous.

"Don't mock me!" Thor shouts and returns the said 'offense' in kind, pointing his hammer and releasing lightning at Hadad.

Similar to Thor, Hadad also stops the lightning with his own weapon, but he attacks instead of defending, countering the lightning with a thrust and making the energy dissipate in the air.

At that moment, Pazuzu also made a move, and a flap of his black wings later, he is behind Thor. In all his fingers there are long and sharp blades, the equivalent of swords, and he slashes at the back of the god.

RiipRiip

Thor dodges quickly, but his cape is cut, not that he seems to care; after all, he is already swinging at Pazuzu with the Mjolnir.

Pazuzu is also able to dodge, using his wings to blow air at Thor, halting his advance a little while dashing backward several meters.

Thor immediately purses his lips, annoyed by this demon's sneaky tactics, and rightfully not wanting to give him space to maneuver by keeping him in his sight.

But Pazuzu is sneaky, releasing black fire from his breath, not strong enough to damage the god, but to use as a smokescreen.

The wide-ranging attack covers an area of hundreds of meters, and even with Thor's control over the winds, he takes some time to get rid of the black inferno.

Enough time for Hadad to set a trap for him.

A dozen blue balls of electricity float around Thor, like air mines.

"Let me show you true power." Hadad exclaims, and with a wave of his golden lance, the balls tremble before duplicating.

Bzz

And then again and again. It only takes six duplications for the sky to be filled with balls of electricity, and they are not small either, each one the size of a car.

"Go!" Hadad orders, pointing at Thor, and the balls immediately obey and attack the God of Thunder.

Hadad is also not dumb, throwing all the balls at the same time; instead, he makes a subtle show of control by making the balls attack Thor with different speeds and from different angles, so that it minimizes the chance of the other god dodging.

But Thor didn't fight for a thousand years without getting good at it; he didn't even think too much; he just instinctively went to meet the attacks head-on, on his own terms, instead of waiting for his enemy to determine the rhythms of the fight.

Whoosh

With the Mjolnir ahead of him, Thor flies, making curves and hitting all balls of lightning with his hammer first, the electricity being dispersed and harmlessly washing over him. At the same time, he continues his path to destroy the attack.

WhooshZaapZaapZaapZaapZaapZaap

And of course, his last target is Hadad. When the last ball was destroyed, Thor emerged from it wearing a sharp expression, unblinking eyes at his opponent.

Hadad would not allow himself to dodge such direct confrontation, so he pulled back his lance and prepared to meet Thor head-on.

Ding

A crisp sound echoes through the sky when the two weapons collide, like an enormous bell that resonates through the entire firmament, and with the sound, an omnidirectional shockwave also disperses in all directions.

The two are locked in the air while the transparent shockwave expands in a sphere, pushing the clouds and even the water below.

It is almost like the fight was paused to hear that beautiful sound…

But gods like them would not stop a battle to hear music.

Without wasting time, the two use each other's weapons as leverage to pull back, getting enough distance, weapons cracking with power and…

BoomZaapRumble

Throwing themselves again against each other.

This time their weapons didn't touch, but the electricity that empowers them met in another clash. A flash of lightning followed by a sound of thunder hit them at the same time.

Each clash sent them backward, but they immediately attacked again, and again…

It looks like an impasse, but there is a third fighter in this battle, and Pazuzu makes Thor remember him by slashing in the air with his oversized claws, throwing flame-flying slashes at the God of Thunder.

Thor hits the flames with Mjolnir to disperse them, but Hadad makes his own slash motion that creates life-like lightning constructs.

Those constructs take the form of birds, and they flap their wings at Thor, approaching from diverse angles.

Not even Thor could escape this time; the birds appear to have a mind of their own, dodging his swings and changing direction to chase after him, and the God of Thunder ended up being electrocuted.

Ironic… but it does not do much against him. It is unclear if it is because of his godhood, the Mjolnir, or anything else… but the damage that this element does to Thor is minimal.

Curious that it is not completely null, and something Eidolon would ponder if he were here, but now it is only Thor.

He ignores the small damage inflicted and spins the Mjolnir, and with a move that challenges physics, he throws the hammer and is being pulled by the weapon at the same time.

The move was fast, and Thor streaks across the sky and hits Hadad straight in the torso.

"Gah!" The god-turned-demon spat blood and was pushed back hundreds of meters.

Thor didn't relax at the success of his attack, already spinning his hammer and then throwing it in Pazuzu's direction.

The demon that was creating a ball of fire with his two hands was hit in the head by the Mjolnir that blitzed through him.

But that is not the end; the hammer barely flew a few meters before slowing down and starting to come back. It increases the speed and once again hits Pazuzu, but now in the middle of his back.

And starts pushing the demon in Thor's direction.

The God of Thunder cocked his fist and punched the demon while grabbing his neck, the two now falling slowly. Not just once, but multiple times… Thor punches the demon once, twice, thrice…

It reaches the point where Pazuzu gets sick of it and tries to stab the god with his sword fingers.

But Thor finally let go of the demon and pushed him down to dodge, the Mjolnir going back to his hand, and with just a little impulse, Thor threw himself down to hit Pazuzu in the chest in a similar way he did with Hadad.

But Pazuzu flaps his wings and dodges the attack, making a sharp curve and landing on Thor's back instead, his fingers swords already slashing the god's back and drawing a little blood.

Thor quickly calls for lightning, and it comes from the sky to crash on them. Of course it would hit Pazuzu first, but the demon is agile and jumps away while using his wings for a speed boost.

His own lightning hits Thor, but it just empowers the Mjolnir, and he redirects it to throw at Pazuzu.

ZaapZaap

He tried, but the demon dodged his attempts expertly, almost mockingly, in the way he contemptuously moved to avoid the attacks.

"..." It is with annoyance that Thor internally admits that this demon has better aerial maneuverability than he does.

But he can deal with it. The young god learned that sometimes he doesn't need to deal with problems head-on and with brute force; he can play smart with his other strengths too.

He floats higher and starts spinning the Mjolnir above his head.

Despite his title being officially the God of Thunder, Thor is as much a god of storm as Hadad. The spinning gathers wind, and the clouds start forming a vortex as they darken.

In two seconds, there is already a storm forming, a storm strong enough to be a real danger to a human city, but here it is only a breeze to those fighters.

For now… Because Thor got control of the weather, the sky, and together with it, the battlefield. It is clear by the way Pazuzu is slowly pushed in all directions and now floats a little unstably.

That is something Thor always did unconsciously when he entered big fights like those, but since his own battle with Eidolon, he has started giving more value to this "passive ability" of his.

The old and experienced Hadad understood what he was doing, and as a God of Storm, he also extends his will to take control of the weather.

"This brings me memories…" Thor comments while looking down with eyes brimming with power.

During the battle of New York, he and Eidolon also had a secondary battle, a battle for control of the weather, while they exchanged blows.

"Someone that forsakes his godhood can't control the weather better than me!!" Thor shouts with pride, and with one more spin, using his whole arm instead of only his forearm, he increases the storm a hundredfold.

Now it looks like the end of times.

It becomes so dark that the only source of light is the occasional lightning; the sea below becomes so turbulent that waves just one step away from becoming tsunamis appear. The combatants are in the midst of a huge hurricane, literally in the Eye of the Storm, and all around this enormous hurricane there are many minor ones.

The sound is so loud and constant that it almost looks silent, the wind drowning anything, and in this dark space the three combatants face each other.

No one agreed on anything, but at the next thunder, they all move simultaneously…

RUUuumble

Lightning flashes, illuminating the battlefield, and Thor is already attacking Hadad.

Then it is all dark again…

Only when lightning appears is it possible to see what is happening; the next time the sky flashes, Pazuzu is snarling while latching on to Thor's back.

On the next one, Thor is pulling Pazuzu by the jaw with an angry expression; blood is floating in the air. From whom it is, no one can tell…

Rain starts pouring at that moment, reflecting the light better on the fighters' bodies.

It is like an entity is taking pictures of this fight, capturing only single moments instead of recording a video.

Every time lightning flashes, the three are in different positions, but always fighting fiercely. Each time darkness encompasses the three, it is an eternity of suspense even if it lasts for only a few seconds, and when light shines upon them, the battle has evolved in some way…

Once, Hadad is stabbing Thor on the shoulder, and it looks bad for the God of Thunder.

In the next, Thor has uppercutted the god-turned-demon in the chin with his hammer.

Then Pazuzu is biting Thor's forearm, the one holding the Mjolnir.

And after two seconds of darkness, it is Thor who is biting the demon on a wing.

The sky lights up for more than an instant when one of the combatants uses more than physical force; even Pazuzu's black flames create some sort of light, paradoxically.

But that doesn't allow a hypothetical viewer to see even one-tenth of how fierce this fight is. All of the fighters can see in the dark, so it's not any hindrance, but an outsider would be shocked by how fast the brutality is escalating.

Blows so strong that the sound could be confused with the thunder roaring in the clouds, the way their bodies move when they are hit, the blood mixing with the rain…

Thor is not afraid of a little brutality; he is a Norse God before being a superhero, and he is showing a Viking level of viciousness, a berserker.

Pazuzu throws a fireball at him; he goes through it with Mjolnir to hit the demon in the chest to break some ribs.

Moments of darkness and then lightning again, and it is possible to see Thor flexing the muscles of his arm to hold Pazuzu's hand in place, the sword claws of the demon going through his biceps but stuck there…

Darkness again, the sound of something breaking, maybe thunder…

Lightning and the blue light reflect the shards of Pazuzu's claw swords falling from the sky; Thor just broke them with Mjolnir.

The next time lightning appears, it shows that Hadad arrived to help, and the fight can be seen more clearly as he starts shooting highly concentrated rays of electricity at Thor to penetrate the God of Thunder's defenses.

Thor dodges the attacks while throwing his own lightning at Hadad, and the two try to hit each other through several rounds; this dangerous game is ironically the fight calming down a little, at least no one is getting hurt.

That changed when a very angry Pazuzu slowly floats up to the sky with a black sun, the size of a skyscraper, above his head, being supported by his injured hands.

"DIIEEE, LITTLE GOD!!" He shouts loud enough to finally make something be heard beyond the thunder and wind.

BOOOOOOOOOMM

The supernova-like explosion is also loud enough to be heard above everything else; nothing that is a fair comparison, after all this attack of Pazuzu destroyed the apocalyptic storm that Thor's godlike powers conjured.

The clouds, hurricanes, and even the sea are blown away, creating a desolate but clear piece of sky.

But now, with perfect visibility, the scene that greets anyone with eyes to see is very surprising.

Pazuzu, the one who released that ultimate attack, is having his skull deformed by the Mjolnir.

That big attack created an equally big opening, and Thor was brave enough to face the attack so as not to let the opening pass.

Like a comet charged with electricity, Thor hit the demon with both speed and power, using his full body instead of only the hammer.

Thor doesn't stop there; he carries Pazuzu with that attack for miles, not only to carve the demon's head more and more but to move a little away from Hadad… to finish Pazuzu now.

"Grrurk!" Pazuzu makes a gurgling noise and tries to fight back, holding Thor's forearms and trying to fly away.

But Thor's speed is accelerating and already crossed the threshold where Pazuzu can't escape. Multiple sonic booms happen as Thor continues to press forward relentlessly.

The situation gets worse and worse for the demon, the Mjolnir going deeper and deeper into his skull as the two cross the sky like a fighter jet.

More struggle, but Thor continues to press forward, stronger and faster the more resistance he meets till finally…

CrackBuchi

The skull of Pazuzu finally gives in, and together with it, the whole head explodes.

Splat

Hammer and God go through the demon's head, destroying everything down to his solar plexus.

And that is how the fight ends, with torso and legs falling while two arms go in another direction. It is unclear if he will stay like this, but Pazuzu is essentially dead.

Now it is a 1-versus-1, and there are no breaks.

Hadad was chasing Thor all the time and is already above him.

Not that Thor would ask for a reprieve either; the God of Thunder turns to his enemy and flies at him before he can be attacked.

CKRAACK–BOOOOM

The two meet in the air; another enormous shockwave is spread through the area. Locked with each other, the two rise higher and higher, until they reach the clouds.

"Fledgling god, that doesn't even know your own power!" Hadad shouts in Thor's face, the two struggling while rising more and more.

"You are right, I admit…" Thor says, surprisingly humble and calm.

Then his eyes start shining with blue light, and streaks of electricity emerge from them. "But neither do you know the limits of Thor!!" He shouts, his voice like thunder.

CRACK

Thunder and lightning start hitting the two, coming from all directions, from all clouds around them.

"Trying to compete with me?!?" Hadad shouts in disbelief while ignoring that he is being electrocuted. "Very well!!"

CRAAAACK

More lightning starts pouring into the two after Hadad added his powers to the mix.

It becomes a battle of endurance and resistance, neither of the two backing down as they hit themselves and the enemy with lightning they call from the clouds and their own bodies.

Even from a tremendous distance, it would be like a small blue sun in the middle of a sea of black clouds; the lightning moves on those clouds like enormous sea serpents, swimming to strike at the two.

They never stop, teeth gritted, the power increasing in intensity… it lasted minutes like this.

Eventually, one starts showing signs of being worn down by this maelstrom of electricity… and it is Hadad.

Thor looks bad too, his armor cracking and falling off his body, cape and helmet gone, and some burns on his body and face. But the God of Thunder keeps an austere face, eyes still alive and calm.

Literally like a storm, that is so chaotic on the outside, but its Eye remains calm. Thor is personifying it perfectly at this moment.

Hadad starts struggling not to keep Thor here to die, but to escape, and that is when he starts losing.

"Le-Let me go…" He starts

But Thor doesn't budge, continuing to attack Hadad together with himself, even increasing the power more and more. This amount of energy would be able to empower the world for years.

"I ordered you to let me go!!!" Hadad starts fighting more ferociously to escape, but Thor keeps him in place while they are still bathing in strong lightning.

Hadad's body goes from cracking to breaking, and he finally starts despairing.

"LET ME GOOOO!!! YOUR PATHETIC EXCUSE OF A GOD!!!"

"But still a god…" Thor says; his voice is even but could be heard through the storm, powerful and traveling with the wind and not against it. "You that abandoned such honorable position could never defeat me… The storm is rejecting you as you reject it for fake power… Your FALL BY THE HANDS OF THOR ODINSON, GOD OF THUNDER, WAS FORECAST THE MOMENT YOU TREAD THE DEMONIC PATH!!!" Thor's tone increases in intensity slowly till he is shouting in anger, and with his fury, the storm increases in power and attacks Hadad even more savagely.

Maybe it was simply because Hadad gave up and was trying to escape, but…

It is like the Storm has a vendetta with Hadad, focusing on the man while leaving Thor alone, only using the god as a conduit to its fury.

"THIS CAN'T BE! THIS CAN'T BE!!" Hadad can't accept it.

After everything he has done… for his ending to be like that…

His body breaks and burns more, till charred pieces start falling off between Thor's fingers.

"NOOOOOOOOooooooo…." With a last shout of anguish, Hadad perishes, and only his golden shoulder armor and lance remain, falling now that he doesn't exist.

Thor remains in the sky a little more as the storm disperses, victorious. Then he starts falling too, apparently without any more power left in his body.

"Ooops~" Then Thor's hears a familiar voice, and a pulling force; suddenly he is not free-falling anymore, but landing softly on grassy ground. "Why is everything epic with you gods?"

Thor chuckles while standing up, patting his body to remove any grime and dirt.

"And you look pristine as ever… did you even fight, my friend?" Thor smiles and raises his eyebrow.

Eidolon, standing right there, holding Hadad's golden lance, looks as fresh as ever, like he didn't even fight, unlike Thor. But if he is here, not only did he fight, but he won.

"Don't tell me you ended up being seduced by that demoness?" Thor teases

"Ha-ha." Eidolon laughs mirthlessly, putting the lance away and waving his hand at Thor, cleaning the god and even healing the wounds that he discovered are nothing serious. "Different from someone, I prefer not to butt heads with my enemies to see who can take more hits before dying. I fight smart, dodging their attack and exploring their weakness, dealing with my enemies before they can show their full power."

"You really take all the fun out of fighting." Thor retorts

"It is only fun when I win."

"Winning easily, against easy opponents doesn't make a good tale to tell, my friend." Thor smiles teasingly again

Eidolon decides to take the bait. " Easy opponents? Please, my duo was much more troublesome than yours." He scoffs

"You are jesting. Did you see how my fight went? It belongs to some legends."

"Yeah, yeah… a very fancy light show, no substance."

The two began to banter like two fishermen disputing which catch was bigger.

"We need to go back… there is still some cleaning up to do." Eidolon finally speaks more seriously. "Nothing as bad as this, but it would be good to appear."

"I hoped I could return to Jane now." Thor sighs

"You can; I can take care of the rest."

"No, I am seeing this to the end. Jane can wait a little more… she will understand."

"Yep, after the news tomorrow, she will absolutely understand." Eidolon nods

The hero starts opening a portal out of the Mirror Dimension, and Thor comments.

"After a fight like this, a drink and a woman will be the crowning jewel of the night." Thor says jovially, "Ah, I almost forgot that you have an issue with multiple ladies, my friend. How is it going?"

"Really? Gossip now?" Eidolon pauses to give his god friend a side glance.

"A good time as any, right?"

"Hmm, I guess so…" The hero eventually shrugs. "If you promise not to tell anyone, not even Jane."

"Do you really think I would do that?" Thor looks offended, but a small smile appears on his lips

Eidolon doesn't even hesitate. "Yes, Mr. I-brag-about-everything-I-do-with-an–exaggerated-tale-and-a-mug-of-mead."

"That is a mouthful…" Thor deadpans, "And I don't brag about my friends' achievements."

"Yes, you do. And most of all, you make fun of them… I still remember you telling the embarrassing tales of the Warriors Three and Lady Sif."

"Ah yes, I do," Thor says with a distant look and a fond smile plastered on his face.

"Don't use my woes to create an interesting pillow story for your woman."

"I swear on my brother," Thor says seriously

"...which one? The literal God of Lies?"

The two continue talking casually as they return to the real world.
