"Chester, you smoke?"
The moment Sebastian Lockwood spoke, the car fell into a dead silence.
Donovan Sheridan, sitting next to Chester in the back seat, turned to him with a stunned expression.
"Kid, you're not even an adult. Picking up smoking is not a good look."
"I don't!" Chester denied frantically.
He'd tried it once a few years ago out of curiosity, sneaking a smoke with a few classmates in the bathroom. Back then, he thought smoking was the ultimate way for a guy to look cool, but it was so harsh on his throat that he couldn't stand it. He hadn't touched a cigarette since.
"I smelled smoke on you back at the club," Sebastian Lockwood said, raising an eyebrow.
Donovan Sheridan leaned in for a sniff. 'I don't smell anything.'
'Does Sebastian have the nose of a bloodhound or something? How did he catch that?'
