"You guys picked the place for dinner tonight, right?" Sydney Sawyer propped her chin on her hand, watching as Cecilia Lowell helped Lauren Brooks with her eyeliner. "What are we having tonight?"
"It's a secret."
Lauren Brooks started to turn her head, but Cecilia Lowell held her still. "If you move again, the eyeliner's going to be crooked."
"Sydney Sawyer, other than the time I went to see my idol's concert, this is only the second time in my life I've put on eyeliner. That should tell you how seriously I'm taking your Mr. Lockwood. So you better bring your A-game! And get... hard."
"Don't move!" Cecilia Lowell frowned.
Sydney Sawyer was mortified. 'What kind of outrageous thing is she saying?!'
"I've already been so humiliated, how am I supposed to 'bring my A-game' now?"
How was she supposed to know she'd get so drunk and make a move on Sebastian Lockwood? No wonder he'd teased that he wasn't worthy during their photoshoot today.
