Sydney Sawyer didn't recognize the man before her, but she had a bad feeling about him.
However, he took two steps forward and initiated a greeting. "Sydney Sawyer? Miss Sawyer?"
"Hello." Sydney smiled politely, keeping her distance and maintaining a civil facade.
The man could see her deliberate attempt to keep him at arm's length, but he just smiled. "My name is Henry Caldwell, Mindy's older brother. She caused you a great deal of trouble before. We went to your home to apologize, but Mr. Sawyer said you weren't in Keston."
"I only just got back."
"I see."
Sydney knew Mindy Caldwell wasn't the mastermind behind the bar incident, so it was only a matter of time before she was released.
She had run into the Caldwell family's lawyer at the police station, and he had indeed mentioned that Mindy Caldwell's family would pay a personal visit to apologize. But once she returned to school, the matter slipped her mind.
