Hearing Tao Cheng say this, the members of Group Four all became cautious and looked around.
"With the reputation of the Central Guards Brigade, most people wouldn't dare come looking for trouble, and besides, we're just carrying out a normal advance mission; following us would be meaningless," said one of the members of Group Four.
"Let's see what happens first," Tao Cheng said in a low voice. "It could be a misunderstanding."
Despite his words, Tao Cheng remained vigilant, scanning in all directions and listening intently, not daring to miss anything.
"Rest for now. If there's no issue later, we'll cross the river."
"Yes!"
The group rested by the riverbank, taking out the food that they had prepared in advance.
But just at that moment, the rustling of leaves came from the woods.
The members of Group Four became alert, each drawing their weapons.
Soon, they saw over a dozen people surrounding them from different directions.
