"Mom! Dad!"
The next morning, while they were still half-asleep, they heard Little Nuonuo shouting.
Right after, they heard the sound of Little Nuonuo's footsteps running into the bedroom and climbing onto their bed.
"What's up..."
Ji Qingyan, with her hair all messy, pulled Little Nuonuo into the bed.
"I gave birth to a monkey."
"Gave birth to a monkey?"
"Here." Little Nuonuo took out a little monkey toy.
"It wasn't there when I went to sleep yesterday, but when I woke up in the morning, it was in my arms."
Ji Qingyan felt a bit exasperated and kicked Lin Yi drowsily.
"What's going on."
"Your daughter says she gave birth to a monkey, you better explain it to her."
Lin Yi reached over and hugged Little Nuonuo. "You didn't 'give birth' to it; Dad bought it for you and put it in your bed yesterday."
"No, I did give birth to it. I even saw it in my dream yesterday..."
Kids and their dreams, they really are all sorts...
