Chapter 18
"I really do have an adorable face" I stared at myself in the mirror.
I wore black pants, a white full sleeve shirt, a black jacket with a tie. I bought some formal wear from the shop few days, I didn't know what people in this world wore for parties so I took Nolla with me, she helped pick clothes. I have to say she has good sense in clothing.
Knock knock
I opened the door as soon as I heard the knock.
"You look good in those clothes, it's good to be young" I saw professor Armin in front of the door. He was wearing formal clothes similar but looked more expensive than mine and a grey cloak.
"You should wear your blue cloak, its compulsory. Blue means you are an apprentice, black means you are rank 1 wizard, grey is rank 2 and white is rank 3" professor spoke looking at me.
I wore my blue cloak and followed Professor Armin. He took me into the deeper part of the academy where apprentices are not allowed. We then reached a dark hall there were other wizards and their apprentices.
The hall was dimly lit, I thought wizard parties would be more exciting and magical.
"Wizard Armin you are late, everyone is here already" another wizard with grey cloak started speaking to prof Armin.
There were many other apprentices and wizards with black cloaks and grey but not a single white cloak.
"Sorry I was caught up with something" Armin apologised to the other wizard and then looked at me and spoke
"Hold on to me and don't get shocked".
Suddenly the walls started to shine with runes and a white light eloped the whole room, I held on to Armin like he asked.
When I opened my eyes, we were in the middle of the ocean floating above water.
"Did you think that Island was Atlantis? what you are going to see is the real Atlantis" Armin smiled as he spoke to me.
Then all of us started sinking in to the water. I saw a bright blue light shine underwater. I looked down and saw it Atlantis the city, was underwater. It was thrice the size of the school. There were bright blue lights shining all around the place.
"This is the city of Atlantis; it was a city of ancient wizards now it holds the wizards of our organisation. This is where we wizards do our experiments, see that tall tower over there that is the water temple it is an inheritance ground made by the ancient wizards, only the elders and the headmaster is allowed in there" Armin started explaining about the city and the places around.
I saw a huge castle in the centre of the city. To my surprise there were people walking around underwater they had fins and sharp teeth I have read about them they are merfolk, they are intelligent aquatic creatures.
"The city was built by ancient wizards and merfolk, it is the trade centre for both the species and that castle over there is the wizard library, the largest library in the westside" Armin said as he saw me looking around.
"We are here, welcome to the annual water banquet" said a wizard as we all landed in front of a huge building with a snake Sigel on the door.
The door opened by itself and inside I saw merfolk playing music, lights flying around dishes and flowers all were floating around. We all got inside and saw seven old people with white cloaks who were laughing and talking with wine in their hand. On the other side of the corner, I saw students wearing blue cloaks with snake symbol on them, among them I saw a few familiar faces, I saw Annie chatting with some other girls who looked like seniors, Lucy who was in the corner by herself and Damon who was laughing with other seniors with a wine in his hand.
"I will try to ask about the access rights to the library, you should enjoy with the rest of them" Armin pointed towards the rest of the students.
I walked along with the rest of the students, took a glass of wine and went to the corner, I didn't come here to make friends and I have no idea on how to behave in these sorts of occasions. I saw some of the students going to their seniors and chatting them up, I saw groups of people surrounding certain seniors the normal apprentices where eager to make connections with honour students.
Far on the other side I saw similar thing going on the lower ranked wizards were praising the higher ranked ones. I came here for something useful not to please some brats who wants to lick each other's asses.
"Hey there handsome you alone" I heard a voice behind me. It was Annie, I guess she finished talking with her friends and came over. Annie was a student of an elder so naturally she was invited. Elders can invite all their students while the others can only bring one.
"You look beautiful too Annie" I said with a smile.
"Thank you, Noah, why are you standing here alone" Annie spoke in sad voice.
"I am not good with socialising with people and you are the only one I know here. By the way why is everyone crowding both Lucy and Damon" I said.
"Didn't you hear apparently, they broke through to rank 2 a week ago, its nothing great since both have A grade aptitudes. So, others are trying to make connections with them" Annie said as he looked at Lucy, Annie loved to gossip so she was a perfect tool to get information.
"Miss Annie it's a pleasure to meet you" I saw a couple of guys trying to talk to Annie.
I quietly sliped away as I saw a group of people trying toget close of Annie.
Thud Thud
The door opened and a middle-aged man with short black beard and a cane walked in. All the wizards were silent, the man wore casual clothes which was standing out. The pressure released from him was huge. My heart felt like it would burst if I got any closer to him, but seeing the elders silence I found out the man's identity, it was the headmaster of Acadamy of Atlantis Julius von Argo a rank 4 wizard.
