... "OK fine! Take me to the dungeons!" I should exasperated. I just really don't want to die anymore.
"OK if you insist." they say, "Your going to rot in the dungeon." They clamp shackles onto my arms and lead me through town. Oh hey there's a group of people over there who look like my friends.

Time dilation? Does that mean I'm gonna be stuck in the novel indefinitely? That would have been really cool if it didn't mean that I was going to prison. I scramble to try and get away and escape but my evil murderer knows better and knocks me out with the butt of his sword...
When I came to I was lying down on some straw on the floor of what was obviously a dungeon straight out of some fantasy games. I sat up and looked around at the stone steps and stone walls, looking for anything I could use to end this event. The only things in the room was my pile of straw in the middle of the floor, a small stool and small desk, and a large bucket in the corner. I don't even want to try using that. All I knew was that I needed to get my murderer back so he could either kill me and I could start over or just forgive me for bumping into him.
I start yelling out of my cell door for a guard to come and see me over and over.
After what feels like minutes of yelling I hear a long sigh and heavy foot steps approaching.
"What do you want prisoner?" He sighs again and I recognise him as one of my teachers except now he looks drunk, filthy and unimpressed.
"I'd like to see the guard that put me in here!"
"Ha yeah you and every other prisoner!" He laughed.
"So what's going to happen to me?" I asked concerned.
"Oh don't worry, your only here for the night so you can learn your lesson. All you did was walk into someone so your free to go tomorrow. We need the cell for an actual criminal after all." He laughed again and shuffled off back to where he came from.
I lie down on the straw and try to get myself to sleep but my mind reels, it said time was dilated but does that mean that time is permanently frozen in the real world until I find some way of fixing the event.
I pick up some straw from around me and fold them in to a bracelet to try and focus my mind. I finish the straw chain bracelet and drift off to sleep...
I get woken up by guards surrounding me and leading me through the dungeon and to the outside. The horrifying man-girl guard touches my shoulder, "I'm sorry. I was out of line yesterday and you taking the punishment has made me see just how wrong I was I hope you can forgive me?"
I just nod with a shocked expression.

The world finally scrolls up again back to the cafeteria. I'm standing there with my friends and this girl is standing there with hers. But I'm too freaked out by her to even look her in the eye, I mean I was basically just killed by her over and over again. My eyes traced the details of the floor before wandering to my hands and I realised I was now wearing an elastic band on my wrist. Shocked at the fact that I had brought something back with me and that the straw had turned to an elastic band.
"I'm sorry I think I bumped into you, it was my fault I'm sorry." said the girl in front of me looking me in the eyes and pleading sincerely.
"Yeah whatever!" I say as I hurry off both because I don't care what that murderous brute (who is now a cute girl again) has to say and because I need to find some answers.
Now that I can bring things back that changes everything. Could I bring back a sword or some kind of skill. Although the straw was changed to fit in so what if I brought back a gold coin would it become a penny? Or what if I brought back a gem would it become a large stack of money?
I figured the only place I could get answers about this was the library. This 'written word' system seems to revolve around things I've read but is it just fantasy novels?
I head towards the library which over the past few years has changed rooms so it takes me a while. But that means that by the time I get there I have a few ideas to try.
I step through the door excited to finally escape from this hectic day in a peaceful quiet room with a book.
