To be honest.
When someone is racking their brains thinking about a problem and suddenly someone sneaks up on them, it can be pretty scary.
Not to mention the other person is bald, with a shiny dome that gleams in the sunlight—Xu Yun was so startled he almost reached for the nitroglycerin in his pocket.
"..."
But then he remembered how eccentric folks at the University of Cambridge could be, and that this person might very well be a TA or even a professor, so Xu Yun forced himself to calm down.
He first sized up the stranger's appearance.
The big bald guy looked a bit like Guo Da from back in China, with shiny golden hair on the sides of his large, bright forehead, and a bunch of deep frown lines on his brow.
Looked like he was in his forties, but wore a face of perpetual suffering and indignation.
Then Xu Yun stuck a bookmark in the reading section of "1650–1830: Two Centuries of Scientific Revolution", closed the book, and asked the man:
"Sir, do you need something?"
