Chapter 6 - Married Life

Zahrah's POV

I woke up early to observe my early solat, to thank Allah for all the good things he has given me, like this marriage, also to make it a blissful one and to wash away all the bad things and to ask for other things.

I left the sleepy head right by my side and I entered the bathroom, we both didn't take our bath yesterday before sleeping, so I would wake him up to take his immediately I was done.

Once I was done, I went over to wake him up wrapped in a white robe, he grumbled and turned, "Zayd you need to wake up, you haven't taken your bath." I said to him as I tapped him lightly.

"I want to sleep more." He mumbled to me in his sleep.

"No" I said to him as lifted his arm trying to drag him up but ended up being dragged closer to him on the bed.

Zayd pulled me close to him on the bed, there was barely space between us which gave me the opportunity to admire him very closely, his hair was disheveled, his mouth slightly opened, he was really handsome in his sleepy mode and I could stare at him all day. What? Zahrah snap out of it. I hit him gently on his chest and sat down, "Zayd, wake up." I said to a sleepy Zayd who didn't seem like he heard a word I said.

"Let's sleep more." He said to me in his sleep. Going over him, I lifted both his arms and dragged him up and his eyes went wide open.

"You need to take your bath." I said to him as I tried standing up but he held me back, what trouble did I get myself into. I was sitting on his lap and his arm around me blocking me from standing up.

"Why do I have to?" he asked

"You were awake all this while, right?" I questioned him.

"Yes, and I stood up just at perfect time."

"You've got to be kidding me." I chuckled at his statement.

"No" He smiled and shook his head.

"You want to sleep some more?" He nodded at my question. "Well you can't, now get up." I said to him as I forcefully released myself from him grip and pulled him up.

"Why don't you bathe me?" He suggested, he must be kidding me right now.

"No." I said to him as I pushed him into the bathroom and closed the door. I definitely got married to a big baby, that's for sure.

I dried myself up and put on my Qimar and when Zayd was done, we both went to the masjid to observe our solat.

Once we were done with our solat we head back home. "So sleeping is the next thing?" I asked Zayd as he laid back on the bed.

"Don't blame I slept late." He said.

"Yeah, I never asked you to do so." I said to him as I removed my Qimar and climbed on the bed, joining him.

"See the person whose complaining of me sleeping is also sleeping." He said facing me on the bed.

"Don't mock me." I said to him as I backed him, facing my right. I felt his hands on my waist as he pulled me closer to him.

Later that morning.

We had breakfast together. Eating together strengthens the love between two people and now that we were married, Zayd wanted us to eat together every time and I had no problem with that.

I stood in front of the Veranda with my phone in my ear, I ringed Zaydah, I needed to ask her how she was. She picked on the third ring.

"What's up Cuz, I'm sorry I couldn't stay long at your wedding." Were her first words over the phone.

"No worries, I totally understand." I replied.

"Make sure you take care of your husband and give him all that he needs, hmm." She advised me over the phone.

"Come on, Zaydah, trust me."

"I'm serious, when it comes to relationships men can be really jealous."

"Yes, I'll heed to your advice." And we both laughed. "Aren't you going to work today?"

"You take every day as a work day, don't you? You forgot you got married on a Saturday."

"OMG, I totally forgot."

"I got to go now, Zayn needs me, bye."

"Bye." I said and ended the call. I felt strong arms around my waist, Zayd. He used his hands to pack my hair to one side of my shoulders, placing his lips on my bare neck and kissing it.

"What's wrong?" He asked

"Nothing."

"Zaydah, your cousin, right?"

"Yes." I replied. "What about her?"

"She came late but left very quickly."

"Yes, she's very busy."

"You're both very close, right? You tell each other everything." It was more of a statement than a question.

"Yes, why?" I said now facing him.

"Nothing."

"Are you going somewhere?" I asked him as I noticed the car keys in his fingers and he was dressed.
