The world very slowly and very painfully came back to Lind. If not for being impossible, he thought he had gone on a 3 day bender after a hard week of work. His blurry vision really confused him as it was not blue sky but rafters of dark wood with white plaster coming into focus.
When had such a thing existed in his hold? His sluggish mind was not working properly. Each thought was like a battle to just question colors let alone context.
It was only when he attempted to get his body to move, which filed a strong complaint about it, that he realized he was on a bed. That thought was quickly followed by gravity still exists.
He fell to the floor and found dark wood with a simple blue carpet waiting for him. It was the only fact he registered before he had to close his eyes once more. Pain throbbed through him again but compared to the rest of his body, it was fairly minor.
Still, the new pain helped clear some of the fog.
