Little Taotie huffed and gripped the small shovel, ready to give the ground another scoop.
Lou Lan quickly embraced the excited little one: "Don't be reckless."
The elder squatted down, picking up a bit of soil to observe it in his palm.
"The small shovel is weak." Little Taotie didn't want to admit she wasn't strong enough, her childish voice somewhat guilty as she complained about the shovel.
Lou Lan didn't expose the girl's little thoughts; instead, she asked the elder: "Did you discover anything?"
The elder shook his head.
Everything appeared so normal it seemed unusual, for this wasn't an ordinary place.
"Let me try." Mo Haihao took the pink small shovel from Little Taotie's hands. A grown man wielding a pink toy shovel had a slightly comical effect.
The shovel struck down and surprisingly — it dug in!
He succesfully scooped out a large chunk of soil.
