The situation remains grim. If you look at it objectively, it's going well. Two troublesome creators are out of commission. A new creator has taken control of their world and is allied with us.
The enemy commander is missing in action so the war is currently in our favor. The question is, who is winning? The 'we' in question can change depending on the situation.
Indrajeet and his wife Anahita are here in my world. The ladies are getting along with each other. For some reason it has become a social gathering.
I am standing with Indrajeet, Keith and Seina, a bit away from the ladies. We are discussing our next step.
Joy is still a captive. We are willing to look for him and rescue him. Indrajeet is reluctant because it will only inflict more damage.
"Maybe I should make a deal with Kirin?" (Keith)
"Are you sure? Is there really no other way?" (Seina)
"You really don't have to do it. I am sure father has no desire to live. We should be happy that his wish is coming true." (Indrajeet)
"Still, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I really would have like if someone actually told us the story." (Keith)
Once again we fell silent. The conversation died because it's a dead end.
"I can tell you what happened between Joy and that woman."
Someone said from behind. It took all of us by surprise.
We jumped back and took a defensive position.
"No need to be so cautious. You young creators sure are impatient."
It's a lady. Not Melissa but someone else. She gives off such an aura that she should be called The Queen.
"Well Clive, you aren't wrong. If Constant is the king then I am obviously his queen."
She read my thoughts. As a creator, only another creator or someone higher can read my thoughts. This confirms that she is at least on the same level as me if not higher.
"Seina, thank you for your help back. I really appreciate it."
"Don't mention it. It came up in a conversation and we all decided to free you to make up for the status quo." (Seina)
"Did yo really? What I felt was different though. You got dragged into marrying your wives. You didn't reject the idea. You were overjoyed but it felt like you signed up for a lot of trouble.
Your contemporaries were also facing the similar situation. So to make yourselves feel better, you decided to drag every spinster into the same situation as you."
Seina made a sour face as if she had read him like an open book.
"But thanks to you all, I was able to become free and finally unite with my love. Otherwise, you all would have been facing a different problem altogether."
She kept going on and on about her love life but it only served to confuse me.
She then cleared her throat. Maybe she heard our confusion.
"Joy is a creator who happened to get caught up in Constant's plans. He had no intentions of becoming a creator and even after becoming a creator, he kept ignoring his job.
His human life however was quite different. He hailed from the same world as Constant. In todays terms, he comes from a world before time as we know it now."
She stopped to check. She seems like a thoughtful person.
"His misfortune was unavoidable. He caught the eye of a really troublesome person. She held no particular interest in humans until Joy caught her eye.
I am partially responsible for that as well. She developed an unhealthy obsession with Joy. At first, it was just stalking. Soon it escalated to messing with fate to change his destiny.
When her access was revoked to keep the balance, she decided to become a human to directly interfere with Joy and his life.
Her obsession only grew stronger until she lost her mind. When she descended into madness, she dragged Joy down with her. Even after his death, he got trapped in a never ending cycle of doom.
Joy lost. He lost his life, his mind and even his self to her. Her obsession destroyed Joy and not just in that world. Even when Constant created a new world, she persisted. As you can see, she still exists and continues to haunt Joy."
Seina and Keith probably have the same look as me. I have the urge to say that one thing.
She was nothing short of an obsessive psychopath.
"Don't get me wrong, she did something unforgivable. We can't forgive her in any way. However, Joy is also to blame.
He kept accepting her. He let her make moves on him. He didn't push her away while fully aware of her actions. He accepted her and reciprocated to her. It is also his fault for letting her become what she has become."
So it goes both ways. This seems like a messy situation. I can only think of it as an indecisive guy and an extremely clingy, obsessed girl story.
That sounds like an over exaggeration but I wouldn't say I am wrong.
"After becoming a creator, Joy chose to become a passive creator. He accepted a world which Constant gave him and played a distant role.
He didn't take part in the development of his world. But she found him. She started obsessing over him again.
In order for him to contain her, he developed his world and trapped both of them in his world. His own world is nothing short of a prison. Indrajeet?"
She suddenly asked for Indrajeet. He was listening to the story with a very serious face.
"You may think you are completely unrelated to Joy and that woman but you aren't. You are their spiritual child. Your soul was born of those two. They are your parents."
She dropped a bombshell on Indrajeet. And with that, she suddenly disappeared.
She left us hanging and dipped. I look at Seina and Keith. They are confused as well. She didn't even introduce herself and just dropped a huge amount of information and just disappeared.
