"Who's out there!"
Xena Walsh was startled, urgently pushing the man, "Go out quickly and see if someone's eavesdropping outside!"
"Okay, I'll go check."
The man also realized someone had been eavesdropping just now and quickly chased outside.
Serena Wells swiftly ran to the elevator, repeatedly pressing the button with a face full of anxiety.
She needed to get to the police station quickly and submit the recording in her hand.
This would clear Big Brother Evan's name!
But before the elevator arrived, the man had already caught up.
"Stop right there, don't run."
The man charged toward her in big strides.
Serena Wells was startled, glanced at the not-yet-arrived elevator, and had to run toward the stairwell.
"Stop."
The footsteps behind her were closing in; Serena Wells pushed open the stairwell door, biting her lip, and ran downstairs desperately.
Unable to run fast in high heels, she kicked them off and continued running down.
One floor, two floors, three floors…
