Amon had a reason to interfere with the battle. If he didn't, Krassazh would most likely order a retreat. If he did, then everything he had planned for years would be for naught. He couldn't let that happen.
"Yao Ai, you go for Hai Di. I will support you. Don't fail," Amon ordered.
"Tch!" Yao Ai disliked being commanded like this, but she had no choice. Furthermore, defeating Hai Di had always been her target, so she went along with it. She used a movement art that boosted her speed to the max.
Hai Di was distracted. He wasn't aware of Yao Ai's approach until she was near. Yao Ai landed a kick that sent him hurtling toward the ground.
"Father!" Hai Lao exclaimed. He used one hand to arm his bow and his teeth to pull its string. Scores of black arrows shot toward Yao Ai.
Yao Ai waved her arm, summoning wind blades that cut the black arrows.
Hai Lao was about to pull his bow string again, but he sensed someone coming at him.
