Eva opened the door to her bedroom and fell into the nearest chair. She didn't have any energy left to bathe or even walk the last distance to her bed. Air moved slightly around the room, and she felt him next to her. Somehow, she knew he had been watching her the entire day. She was thankful he had at least waited until she made it into their private space before rushing to her side.
Finally.
Lucas smelled blood and smoke. He picked up Eva's hand and searched her to see where she was hurt. She had fallen several times, and each time he had to restrain his instinct to immediately rush to her side. He almost had a heart attack when he saw the wall of flames rise from the northern training ground. He had left Alphonse to his own devices after that.
