The scent of salt and sea reached Iris's nose as she stood on the cliff with Killian and Amelia, overseeing Elyndria Town, where their mermaid quest began. They hoped to find clues about the golden mermaid they sought.
The priest and the rest of the party have arrived before us," Amelia informed them. "However, Sir Hesperos has split up from their group and is now heading east."
"Shouldn't you be following him?" Kieran asked, "Didn't he offer to guide you where the Dawnbreaker is?"
Amelia was startled for a moment and recovered immediately. She thought it was hard to keep things from Killian.
"But…" she glanced at her friend. "Iris needs me…"
"Lady Chrisanthe and I are here to keep her safe. You might be her knight, but how can a knight protect her queen without her sword?" The Night King said in a matter-of-fact tone. "It's not too late for you to follow him."
Iris touched Amelia's arm and smiled. She knew Amelia was worried about her deteriorating condition.
