Deep within the Ten-thousand Mountains.
Thunder Peak.
Here, fierce winds and thunder rain down year-round, so all living beings have vanished; thus, it earned its name.
Dusk shrouds the land in misty gloom.
A Thunderhawk demon circles atop the mountain, eyeing the lightning-struck stone, swooping down to swallow it whole.
Demonic aura crushes the thunderstone; arcs of electricity crackle across its body, making its demon form even more formidable.
Screech!
The Thunderhawk spots another lightning-struck stone, cries out with delight, but as it dives midway, the ground suddenly rumbles open with a fissure.
Beginning several yards wide, it swiftly spreads across the entire Thunderclap Peak, and then extends to over a dozen neighboring mounts.
From the crevice emerges a grand palace, constructed completely from verdant jade stone; gazing down from above, the Thunderhawk sees what appears to be a giant tortoise, spanning over a hundred miles, lying upon the earth.
