Her body, due to elementalization, displayed colors far different from those of ordinary people. This not only granted her stronger elemental affinity but also allowed her to rapidly absorb elements to repair her body when injured.
Without knowing the extent of her elementalization, there was a chance that shots to her body wouldn't be instantly lethal.
