Earth veita burst out of its body with tremendous force and speed. Yet it didn't harm or affect any of the three nearby mercenaries. Instead, the ground trembled for a second before an eruption of stone spikes spread out toward anything within ten bromes of the boss beast's huge body.

Bil's shield held strong as it blocked the spikes coming his way, holding it at a downward angle and stabbing the bottom end into the ground to better block the incoming torrent of attacks.
Zac and Bolton raced behind Bil without hesitation. They had already planned to retreat after the synchronized attacks, and the immediate retaliation was a perfect example as to why acted on their veteran instincts to breathe easier behind their tank.
