The remaining ten Martial Transcendents rested their gazes on Rui with different emotions. Some of them were piercing, evaluative gazes that sought to estimate his combat power, although they failed to, much to their own interest.
Power had grown much more complex since they were last present in human civilization. And Rui's power, in particular, had grown vastly more complex than the simplistic model of progression that the Martial Transcendents were accustomed. To even call his Path a Path was stretching; it was closer to an interconnected maze rather than a Path.
He had already been receiving messages from the other Transcendents of human civilization, demanding explanations for the sudden emergence of fourteen new Martial Transcendents all of a sudden. All of them were intelligent enough to realize what had happened. Rui quietly placated all of them with remote communication, telling them to stay away for now.
