Every sensation abruptly became distant, his body suddenly lighter as a feeling of weightlessness catches him unawares.
His vision blurs.
The faces before him stretch strangely, their expressions rapidly shifting into alarm.
A dull ringing filled his ears as his knees buckled.
Strength leaving his body all at once.
Darkness swallows his vision as he collapses forward, consciousness abandoning him before he ever struck the ground.

The first thing Ezra became aware of was warmth.
Not the biting cold of the frozen wasteland, nor the familiar ache of battered muscles, but a strange, almost comforting warmth embracing every inch of his body.
