"I can accept that," Cain said softly. Though guiding young Aioro would surely prove demanding, he knew that if things went well, the effort would repay itself a thousandfold.
A meaningful light flickered in Cain's eyes as he lifted his gaze toward the skies, where the childlike World Will lingered, watching the world below with wide, curious eyes.
"Tell me, Ao," Cain asked, his tone even but edged with anticipation. "Does he have any idea what I'll need to do to become the World King?"
Becoming a World King brought unimaginable benefits. When Cain had attained the title of World King of Aether, his cultivation had accelerated beyond comprehension, empowering his ascent through the Ranks of the Soul Realm. If he could become World King of an Empyrean World, the results would be beyond imagination. Perhaps even his very talent would evolve to a higher order.
