Everyone seemed to feel it personally and was utterly indignant. They believed this was the heartless old man and the nursing home trampling on their compassion! A living creature's life had been lost and wasn't being taken seriously. Instead, the so-called 'shock' suffered by the old man seemed more valuable. To even think of claiming damages for that!
