"What are you planning to do about Zoe?" Mrs. Harrington asked. "Her situation is causing a huge scandal online, and too many people are watching. To rescue her, we can't make it too obvious."
If this hadn't blown up so much, things would have been much easier. We could have smoothed things over privately, and she would be released quickly.
But now...
"We have to make Charlotte Allison compromise. She holds the evidence and the witnesses. As long as she agrees to handle it privately with me, this matter can be resolved," Mrs. Meyer said.
"Judging by the situation, Charlotte Allison isn't easy to negotiate with," Mrs. Harrington responded.
If Charlotte had any concern for Zoe Meyer's backing from the Meyer Family and her maternal family, she wouldn't have allowed things to get out of control.
"That's why I don't intend to negotiate with her, but instead, make her ask me, and actively back off from interfering in Zoe's affairs. Only then can I manage to clear Zoe's name."
