Grace Harrington returned to the Harrington Family that night and brought up the idea of reclaiming the land rented to Mrs. Meyer.
"Grace, for you to ask this of me, you have to give me a reason. Do you know I've known Mrs. Meyer for many years? She just received news that her daughter went missing abroad, and she's heartbroken. Bringing this up now would hurt her," Mrs. Harrington said.
She understood Grace's nature and knew she wouldn't bring up something like this without reason.
Because of this, Mrs. Harrington wanted to know the reason.
Grace didn't mention that Charlotte Allison had asked her to bring this up, as it would complicate matters.
Charlotte had said, "Mrs. Meyer is being manipulated," which gave Grace a reason to explain to Mrs. Harrington.
There were many points to this statement that could be discussed.
"Aunt, I've received reliable information that Mrs. Meyer didn't rent the land by her own will, but was manipulated," Grace said.
