Charlotte Allison looked at him, and he met her gaze, unflinching in expressing his determination.
"Alright, I won't investigate or interfere with your matters."
They had known each other since childhood and grew up together. Henry Shipton was not one to care about pride and suffer in silence; when they argued as kids and he couldn't win, he'd always get help.
So, Charlotte initially believed that if there was something Henry couldn't solve, he would seek connections, and most of their social circles overlapped. Especially in Kingstown, if he sought help through connections, she'd hear about it immediately.
Since Henry hadn't done so, it indicated that he could handle it himself.
This was what Charlotte thought before seeing Henry today, but her thoughts changed after meeting him.
"But you have to tell me the truth: how far have you handled your issue?"
