After washing up, Charlotte Allison came out to find Lucas Quinn still playing games on the deck chair. She didn't need Lucas to call her over; she just snuggled up beside him, leaning on his shoulder to watch him play.
Lucas turned his head to kiss her forehead and asked, "Want to play together?"
Charlotte shook her head, "I'm fine just watching you play."
Before Lucas finished one round of the game, he turned and saw that Charlotte had fallen asleep.
Accompanied by the sound effects of the game, she was sleeping so deeply that when he finished a game and carried her back to bed, she didn't react at all.
She had been truly exhausted lately, so Lucas gently kissed her eyes. Though he wasn't sleepy yet, he just watched her like that, occasionally leaning over to kiss her, while she continued to sleep soundly. Eventually, he grew bold, taking her hand and slipping it under his shirt against his skin, planning to accuse her of "taking advantage" when she woke up in the morning.
