When going to bed at night, Lucas Quinn was still flipping through the new photographs of Charlotte Allison that he had obtained today.
Seeing the three-year-old Charlotte Allison smiling up in the picture, his heart melted like a puff pastry that crumbles with a bite. After looking at the photo with a silly grin for a while, he noticed Charlotte was not in the room. He got up and, through the revolving door, went to Charlotte's study next door, where he saw her resting her chin on one hand while looking at her computer screen.
Hearing footsteps, she looked up at him, "What's up? Tired of looking at pictures and came to see the real thing?"
Before she came to the study, he had been smiling warmly at his phone like he wished he could pluck the person from the photo.
Lucas Quinn stood in front of Charlotte Allison's desk, not looking at the dense data on her computer screen, but instead leaned over the desk to kiss her, saying, "Pictures are never as beautiful as the real thing."
