Lucas Quinn naturally took the glass of juice that Charlotte Allison had ordered upon arrival and gulped it down. It was too cold, so he had it changed to room temperature.
"It turns out Miss Allison can't drink cold beverages; it's my fault for not asking about her preferences," said Wills, the elderly caretaker by the old man's side. He had graying hair, a kind face, but sharp eyes.
"It's not that she can't drink it; I just don't allow her to," Lucas Quinn spoke up before Charlotte could say anything.
"Young master is really considerate towards Miss Allison," the old caretaker remarked with a gratified tone, then turned around to order someone to prepare a room temperature drink for Charlotte, while Lucas kept the cold one nearby, drinking it.
During dinner, the old man looked slightly surprised as Lucas attentively cut steak and handled small tasks for Charlotte, as if he had never seen this side of Lucas before.
